Radisson Blu Hotel East Midlands Airport

Really clean and nice hotel, 20 min walk from the airport, so maybe not ideal if you have lots of luggage or children. They said that the shuttle bus was £10 a head! Lovely room, good bathroom, it felt new. Didn't use the gym or pool, but took a look for another time and they looked great. Evening meal was a bit average to be honest, but the breakfast was superb, with a great selection. All staff very good

The restaurant team and manager on duty were extremely unhelpful when my son was ill. I had no issues cleaning up but they didn't even help me provide tissues or a bin bag I had to go and find it at the same time as get water, see to my son. They tutted and made us feel so unwelcome and didn't lift a finger to help or even ask if he was ok. I raised it when I checked out too. So disappointed. This is not a family friendly place. It's suitable for people on business/projects.

The hotel itself was lovely, however we booked well in advance and made it clear we needed a crib as we had an 10 month old and weren’t able to bring one. This was guaranteed that there would be one. When we arrived we were told there were no cribs available, and the staff member didn’t care at all. He just shrugged it off and said we normally have one and laughed. We were like “……… what are we supposed to do??” And he just laughed it off and finished checking us in. Our 10 month old ended up sleeping on a blanket on the floor, with chairs around him in the hopes he wouldn’t escape. My partner and I were up most of the night trying to get him to sleep as he was very excited to not be in a crib!! We barely scraped an hours sleep combined and had a very cranky baby the next day. For a nice hotel like this, who had guaranteed we would have a cot this is really unacceptable! I can’t believe we spent so much money to chase a baby around for the whole night. I would have rather paid much less and stayed ANYWHERE else that had a crib.

I am a really big fan of this hotel. The rooms and facilities are great, and clean and comfy. The food is really good, kids eat free, and the breakfasts are so much better than 99% of other hotels I have been to. All of the staff, from reception, housekeeping, pool and especially in the restaurant are super friendly, helpful and attentive. I stay in the area a lot and since I discovered the radisson blu, i only book gere now. It is my (and my daughrer's) favourite and we highly recommend!!!
