Leonardo Hotel East Midlands Airport - Formerly Jurys Inn

When we arrived the first thing we were told was that the pool was closed which was one of the reasons we booked this hotel for my grandson, then the room was freezing no heating on we were told to put blowers on and it will warm up but 2 hours later the room was still cold we were then offered another room but that to was freezing no heating on. The hotel knew we were coming and had a child with us so i feel they should ensure the room is at least at room temp. The room didn't warm up much till the middle of the night with the blower on at 30 degrees, We were unable to bath my grandson in the evening as it was so cold. This is the second time we have stayed there and we were very disappointed and are unlikely to go again.

Amazing stay! All the staff were fantastic, especially George in the bar who couldn’t do enough for us, even though he was rushed off his feet. Lovely clean, comfortable rooms, fabulous warm pool for the kids, great food at dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend.

Excellent Hotel as anticipated from Jurys Inn brand. Recommend to family and friends.

firstly there is no lift and being a pensioner with heavy bags that not good? but staff were very helpful and offered their help to get bags up and down stairs the hotel was nice and had been revamped the pool area was a complete letdown the pool is like a children's pool I had to ask the staff to restock the wet bags soap and shampoo in the changing rooms as all empty also I made a note to tell the staff that the filter in the bottom of the pool cover ( size of the large dinner plate ) was not secure and you could get it to float away exposing the workings this was very unsafe were children were playing and the pool should not have been open to public until the repair had been made. they made a note of my comments i only hope the made the repair

Stayed at this hotel a few times now but not sure if we will stay again. All was well until around 8.30 pm when the family next door to our room arrived. The screaming, shouting (from both parents and children ) and crying was ridiculous and went on until after 10.00 pm.when we had to request another room so we could get some sleep for an early flight We had been put into an interconnecting room with the family making the noise even worse despite the family being well known to the hotel staff and in their words 'use the hotel regularly ' this coming to light when I complained. I understand 10pm isnt late but bearing in mind this is an airport hotel and many guests are there overnight for early morning flights I think a bit more thought about room allocation wouldnt go amiss.
