The hotel is very well located, We were immediately upgraded to a better room, recognizing our VIP status. The rooms are a bit dark and on the weekend it may get noisy. There is a lot of construction around the area so good luck if you are planning to sleep-in late. The bar on the ground floor is cool and restaurant is great. The staff members are courteous and ready to help. The manager Luigi Carotenuto was amicable and made our stay a lot better. Unless you are traveling with family and need the connecting rooms, try to avoid them since you can hear almost everything that goes on next door.

This was our first time to London. The MayFair is a beautiful hotel in a desirable location. The staff was delightful and very accommodating. We stayed in a family room as my 2 adult daughters accompanied my husband and me. The pictures and descriptions of the room make it seem somewhat larger than it actually is but we made do even with close quarters. Our room faced a side street that I believe overlooked some type of late evening club and was a bit noisy but we were tired from the days adventures so we still slept. The beds and pillows were comfy. The bathroom is nice with a large tub but the door is frosted glass and the shower is only half enclosed which was an adjustment for us as the water tended to go onto the floor. I booked this trip through Expedia but I contacted the concierge staff by email and they were delightful and helpful as far as answering questions about transportation from the airport and suggesting activities. Overall we had a very nice experience at the hotel.

Although we pre-booked back in Jan/Feb, the reservation could not be found and took a few hours to sort out. The staff managed to locate and then instead of a family room, gave us two rooms, which was fine as we had teenage children. We were told rooms had just been refurbished, but we were expecting larger room for this type of hotel. Breakfast weren’t aware of this and tried to charge for additional breakfasts, which we had to sort out. All mini bars were being refurbished, so not available. Locality is good for sights, but at night not good for families, given lots of activity going on around. The bar downstairs seemed a bit suspect, with the types of clientele going in. That said all of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Place to stay in London city. Check in was superbly easy. Staff was always gracious, attentive and accommodating. Equal attention paid to all guests because the hotel staff really put an effort into customer service. The bar is accommodating and a great place to invite people for meetings. The Kitchen provides an outstanding, truly Continental breakfast. The Spa and Gym actually has a rowing machine which is hard to find in the States along with other equipment that is contemporary. The rooms are spacious and quiet. Finally, while this is a business hotel it also caters to families with small children and makes them feel very comfortable. i hope to get back.
