The Chesterfield Mayfair

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Chesterfield! With only 2 nights in the city on our first London visit we chose The Chesterfield Mayfair based upon the reviews and photos - we were looking for the feel that the pictures portrayed. Upon arrival we were greeting by the most welcoming and helpful staff, and every staff member we met during our visit was just as warm and helpful. They make you feel like family! Special shout out to Mustafa, he's really a treat. The ambiance is luxurious, from the front entry with it's beautiful decor and on into the rooms with their elegant touches. The room is serviced 2x/day, in the morning and again in the evening to leave a goodie on the pillow and draw the drapes. The dining room was beautiful and the one meal we had at the hotel was very nice. We enjoyed our stay so much!

This hotel was chosen as it promised a bit of luxury on the perfect location for our stay - which was for a family celebration. I sould have know when we checked in and was informed that they had a large party booked in the restaurant for afternoon tea on the sunday so residents could not have a table and we had to find an alternative. Knowing this and now having made alternative arrangements for sunday tea we decided if they are so busy we would order a room service breakfast rather than get caught up in the eating area and end up missing our plans…BIG mistake it didnt arrive on time - what should have been hot was stone cold and a dried out congealed mass of protein and a few beans and a mushroom and what should have been cold was warm - needless to say it was inedible …Oh but they nicely put a plate of little jars of jams on the tray ?? Why I dont know (and I did ask) as there was not a slice of toast, bread, croissant or anything else to put it on. So again and now running late we had to rush to find some alternative for breakfast. At check out they seemed to think it was enough and some sort of recompense that they had removed the charge off the Bill - like we would have paid it in the first place. We booked a superior king room - admittedaly not the most expensive option but not the cheapest either - we got allocated one that the shower leaked all over the floor making for a dangerously slippy exit and a sodden bath mat. All in all not worth its acclaim or a return.

Me and my family had a very nice stay at this hotel. It’s Very Clean , nice decor and excellent location. Very helpful and friendly Staff. We certainly will stay again in this Hotel which I highly recommend.
