Being so close to Trafalgar Square we did worry that it would be very noisy, but we slept like babies on our huge king size bed.

Great location for Trafalgar Square site seeing! Beautiful lobby and staff very friendly and willing to help. Room flooring creaked and small for 2 but for a short stay not overly concerning. Wish had been able to go to the restaurant on main floor as the food and pricing looked good but we were visiting family. Find your "bathroom" necessities (hair dryer etc) in the closet. Priced fairly for the amenities and service! Would return!

We loved the hotel and location. So convenient to everything. A block from the river and 1/2 block from Trafalgar Square. It was so nice to have the large library/sitting room so we could hang out with our family. We liked the complimentary coffee/hot chocolate and filtered water.

We had a wonderful stay here July 2022. Front desk staff was extremely nice, helpful & accommodating. The rooms were clean, great shower, comfortable beds. Our favorite thing at the hotel was the refillable water bottles with cold water/ice machine on each floor. I wish every hotel had this! Breakfast was great with a nice variety- eggs, sausage, ham, hash browns, croissants, cereal, beans, mushrooms, etc. My only suggestion would be to avoid planning on using a sofa bed for an adult- very uncomfortable, but was fine (after extra padding provided) for the little kids. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Location central London great for access to South Bank, West End, galleries and transit. Downside is pavements jammed with tourists and difficult therefore to find good local restaurants in such a tourist-focussed neighbourhood. Room was small, drab and cramped, no space to walk around, tiny bathroom, one small window, toiletries poor, no fridge, coffee and tea-making minimal. I think we were put in a former staff accommodation room on a side corridor on the top floor. For 450 CAD per night, even accounting for weekend prices, I expected much better. Staff did what was necessary, answered questions, but never a smile, never a greeting, when we left or entered the hotel past reception. Even a purely professional acknowledgement of guests would be a huge improvement. Exception: bartender (from France of course) was pleasantly accueillant and efficient, with the right kind of easy attentiveness and hospitality we've become used to in France, and which was otherwise missing in this hotel. The lobby and bar/restaurant were pretty and opulent. I wouldn't stay here again, and would stick to family hotels in Bloomsbury ot another central Hotel that better justifies the cost of the rooms with more focus on comfort and welcome of guests.
