We were thrilled with the view to the rear & the weather was kind to us . As a child I swam in the river just by the bridge . The room was not special & lacked a non slip mat for the Bath. Please may I have a receipt. !

Would have been a very pleasant 2 night stay if it hadn’t have been for the way I was treated at breakfast on the final day. Made to feel very uncomfortable by the head chef ‘Hussain’ I believe is his name, purely because I only wanted coffee and toast, which I had been given without problem the previous morning. The way he made me feel, talked to me and then stood watching me with his arms folded means I will not be returning. Shame because as a family we have used the Bridgehouse on many occasions including hiring out the riverside room. Not in future!

Solo stay to visit family, therefore chosen for proximity to their location. Freezing weather at time of visit with no in room thermostat, just radiator control. Basic furnishings in room, shower over tub in bathroom caused water to go everywhere as splash door was inadequate. Nice, but pricey restaurant. Good selection of draft beers in bar. Lovely views of River Stour from rear deck area and mid stream island.
