Canterbury Bell, Margate by Marston's Inns

Overall, it was amazing. The room was large, fairly comfortable and very clean. We were well looked after. The room rate was reasonable to average, and it was fair value rather than an absolute bargain. We ate in the restaurant a few times during our six day stay, as a couple and as an extended family. Food was perhaps a tad dearer than similar places we've all visited lately, but the quality was very good and the service was fantastic. (I can't single anybody out, because each time everybody was excellent.) The convenience and ambiance of the restaurant are a big plus factor. You will have to dig deep into your pockets if you're on a party weekend, as the drinks in the restaurant were quite expensive. Quite a bit more expensive than other bars and restaurants we visited in the area. If you're a Wetherspoons regular, prepare yourselves for a big shock.

Check in was a bit slow and unorganized due to hotel reception being unmanned during the day so had to go over to the bar/restaurant. Then had to wait for another member of staff to check us in. Room was lovely cot for baby was there as requested no complaints.

My family and I stayed in a family room. It was clean and we all had a comfortable nights sleep. The food in the restaurant was very good, was great value and was child friendly. We will be returning next year.

The hotel was excellent. Check in is at the restaurant across the street (5 yards away). The pub Manager (Jay I think his name was) was very professional in checking in our family of four.

The hotel may be small, but it is cozy and provides guests with lovely and spotless accommodations. Additionally, the parking area is easily accessible. What truly sets this place apart is the pub and restaurant, which offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, ample space, and attractive interior design - making it the perfect place to enjoy a meal. Outside, there is also a small playground for children to enjoy. It's easy to get hooked on the atmosphere and want to return again. Moreover, there are plenty of shopping centers within walking distance, making it convenient for guests to explore the area. We stayed at this hotel as a resting stop on our way to Dover, and it was great for our needs - especially if you are heading to the ferry and coming from up north.

Stayed in a family room which was adequate for our needs, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly aswell. The location was very convenient with Westwood Cross shopping center nearby and was no more than 10 mins away from the beaches in Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate. Overall we would defstat here again.

Lovely pleasant stay had a family gathering and it was In the middle of where we needed to be ,big comfy bed,nice food and very nice staff ,second stay here , we will definitely be back again.

Good sized family room, breakfast very good value in attractive restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Black-out curtain quite good. Convenient location for driving to Broadstairs and Margate. Excellent for the price.

Location is brilliant. Very family friendly. Service is great and room was very clean. Unfortunately the bed wasn’t the comfiest but overall it was good. Everything is nearby. Can’t wait to stay again!
