Good for a family stay. Convenient location by the train station and a decent buffet breakfast.

My kids were stranded at Bristol airport after Easyjet cancelled the last flight home. I booked the hotel for them, but because of corporate policy, Holiday Inn would not let them stay as they are under 18yo., but also wouldn’t let me cancel and get a refund!!!! My 16yo girl and her 14yo brother had to sleep on the footpath outside the airport until 3am when security would reopen. I spoke to the hotel and of course they said they would speak to a manage (that’s corporate speak for “I’m not going to speak with anyone and just lie to you”) and would call me back, which they didn’t. My kids have travelled to more countries than most of the the Holiday Inn’s staff and are know how to be more adult than a majority of the people who stay at Holiday Inn’s. When will compasión and understanding for kids come ahead of “corporate policy”. Clearly Corporate Policy of Holiday Inn was created by people who never had children. Or a conscience!!! Holiday Inn should be absolutely ashamed of themselves! They are as bad as Easyjet!!!

We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend and we have mixed reviews. Firstly, we had to change rooms three times. The first time was because we had a room with a sofa bed and no where to put the travel cot, then the second room, someone previous must have yank the window handle off so we couldn't open the window, then the third time the room was much better. The reception team were very friendly and accommodating. Few things to think about though before you book - 1. This hotel is located right on a main road and opposite the train station so a lot of commotion, even if your room is at the back of the hotel as that's where the taxis drop people off for the hotel and the car park. 2. The distance to town is good. Its about a 15 minute walk as a mentioned, its a stone throw from the train station. 3. Breakfast is continental - cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt and croissants. Nice coffee. 4. If travelling with a small child, there is only one high chair and this we couldn't use because it felt like it was going to full apart as soon as I touched it. We manged by leaving junior in the pushchair. Not ideal but worked. Would I stay here again, unfortunately no. Shame becaue the satff were really nice.
