Palmyra Patong Resort

The hotel was very clean and the focus by the staff to assist was very professional. The staff organised trips to Fantasia, Phi Phi island, elephants, tigers and the Big Buddha. all the trips were with experienced tour providers and the stay was fantastic with my 2 children.

We had a major issue with our room that we had to move rooms. It took a half day to transition, which cost us a day of vacation and heighten the stress level between our family.

Room was great for a family. Large room with a kitchenette. Breakfast included was ok, not great but did the job. Worst part of the experience was being asked to pay for an accidental broken coffee cup after paying to stay for 14 nights. Left a bad taste as a thank you for staying but please give money before you leave. A hotels gold member and to be hand out for some money right on check out. This on its own I will not be back.

The property was basic. Pool was too cold to enjoy. The same breakfast everyday with pre-cooked eggs, rice, Thai noodles and cereal. We booked here specifically for the laundry facilities but it is not in the room or the property. We were told laundry is done at another location at a cost! Hotel description does not say that. Family suite was oddly set up. the 2 double beds had the big bathroom and balcony. One would think the king bed would have the "suite" part of the room. Our room also did not have AC on the 1st floor. We had to crank the ac upstairs so that it reached the 1st floor. About a 15 min walk to the beach, massage and 7/11 a block away. Room was clean and they are generous with the bottled water. Ok for a family if you don't mind paying for your laundry to get done. Over all I give it 2 stars.

We stayed in 2 BR family villa which suited us well. Staff was very nice and location was pretty good. Room could use a touch up but pretty good, particularly for the price. The only major criticism would be breakfast. It was fine but I'd rate only a 5 or 6 out of 10. I'd like to see that improved. Needs better food and more variety.

We booked a two bedroom villa for a family with two children. When we checked in we had been allocated to a 2 bedroom villa with two queen beds not a queen and two singles as requested. Rollaway bed quickly organized first night to get around this and we were reallocated to another room the next day. The villas are generously sized with bedrooms upstairs and living and dining downstairs - 3 toilets and showers in our villa (101). Although huge, we did find the master bedroom bed very firm and the ensuite shower didn't drain quickly enough. A/C in both bedrooms but a little inconsistent in their ability to cool effectively when needed. Overall the villas are large and practical but they are a little out of date now and showing their age. We had to end our stay prematurely due to a family bereavement and the front desk staff kind of didn't really understand or seem to comprehend the sensitivities around this so it has to be said that the general understanding and comprehension of English isn't great.

Myself and my three adult children enjoyed our stay over the Christmas and New Year. The hotel is just a short walk from the beautiful Patong beach. Staff in the hotel are friendly and helpful. Hotel is very clean and staff work hard to do everything to please the customer. There is 24 hour reception and also 24 hour security which is indeed an added bonus.

Good size 2 bedroom villa. Restaurant food is good quality and good value and good variety. We ate a number of lunches and dinners at the hotel and were happy with the quality. Hotel was clean, staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Location was great- short stroll to the beach, plenty of eating options and good shopping within 10min walk, great massage place at the end of the driveway. Highly recommend for a family stay in Patong Beach.

The hotel isn't as portrayed in the photographs. Pool area very small and in the shade for 90% of the day. The pool area smells of sewer and this is where you eat breakfast. We had a family villa. Overpriced and outdated spring to mind. We checked out early and moved to another hotel 2 mins away, that worked out cheaper per night and was luxury in comparisons. Shop around!!
