Hotel Indigo Phuket Patong, an IHG Hotel

I have mixed feelings about my stay here. I wanted to extend my stay multiple times, but the reception staff was not able to offer a flexible rate. They promised me to block my room and when I come 2 nights before I want to extend, it will be fine. Yes, the first extension this worked fine. The second extension my room type "junior suite" was no longer available and they recommend me to move to a standard room, which I was obviously not interested in. I booked a Junior Suite, because that's what I wanted to have. To be honest, the reception staff didn't care much that my room type isn't there anymore, so I told them I will change to another hotel instead where larger rooms are still available. All in all, this hotel is a bit of a surprise box. Some rooms are very noisy (facing the main road), a few rooms are pretty quiet (they are usually with the garden view, but even there some rooms are very noisy because bars play music until around midnight). To summarize, I would not visit this hotel again, unfortunately. If you want it quiet at night and relaxing, you will find better hotels in Patong area. :-) If you want a new and stylish hotel in a lively area of Patong and you don't mind when it's loud at night - this hotel might be for you!
