Overall the room was clean and the service was great. However, the air conditioner did not work in one of our rooms. It caused a lot of discomfort for us and our baby.

We were two families and were kept waiting for over an hour for check in and were told family rooms were un-available in spite of booking over a month ago. After a long wait we were eventually given two family rooms which were unbearably hot with limited light. The hotel has known of this issue for a long time but doesn't seem to care. This hotel is best avoided.

I rarely leave a review but I feel the need to warn those who are planning to stay in this hotel to think hard before booking. I can definitely say this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and does not deserve being a 4-star hotel! All the bad reviews about the room being hot are true! Yes, they will tell you “our rooms feature individually controlled air conditioning” BUT their a/c just felt like a fan blowing some air and wasn’t cool enough for the room. Their a/c control is outdated and we have adjusted the control several times to make sure but it did not make any difference. We told the hotel staff about it and they gave us a mini desk fan. It was too small for the room and did not make it any cooler. We opened our window, it did help a bit with room temperature BUT we couldn’t sleep because of the external noise (moving cars, wind etc). Our 3 nights in the hotel were miserable! Their pillows feel like they are non-existent because of how flat they are. We barely had any sleep because of our hotel situation. If only we could just sleep in the hotel lobby because it is way cooler there LOL. I will never go back to this hotel again and will definitely not recommend it to friends and family. All you will probably get from the hotel manager are “i apologize for any inconvenience” and some excuses. Only plus side in the hotel is their staff. But that’s about it. This hotel needs to be upgraded & repaired in order for their customers to have a peaceful & wonderful stay.

Great family hotel, and would recommend. But if you are British then you won’t like the breakfast as it won’t be to our British breakfast standard. they do have a variety of different items but they were ok. Not great but “it will do”. The location is good for travel as trams and trains are only a 5-10 minute walk. The trains and trams are superb, when compared to UK, it’s miles ahead!! So clean and super safe for families. Easy to navigate also with help of google maps. Overall it is a great hotel with everything you need for a short stay.

There were no batter bottles in the room, fridze nit working. When asked about water bottles they said they only give 1 per room and that to i have to come to reception to pick up and get it opened ( glass water bottles with lid need opener to pop the lid) because they said they will not send openers to room.we are family of 4 and when asked about hiw 1 water bottle is sufficient , the receptionist braged and finally said he will give 4 drinks but i have to vime to the reception.
About the room - air conditioning not working properly, it takes hours to cool down tge room.
Bathroom - no amenities except hand wash and body soap. The hair dryer was old snd dirty.
The bath tub- when you take shower, the water get stuck and fills the tub. Its kind of annoying and dirty to be in the dirty showered water as the water will almost up to your knees.
About the breakfast- pretty average taste wise. I will give 2.5 stars the breakfast. One coffee machine broke.
Transportation from airport to hotel -they do not operate between 12 pm- 4:10 pm zurich time. My flight arrived 1:15 pm. I did not know about that time . I thought free transportation is available but the timings were nit advertised anywhere even in expedia. They tild me that i have to pay 15 swiss francs per person to get to the hotel.
Overall i did nit like the stay . Very disappointed with this pick from expedia. This is not 4 star hotel.. should be 3 or below

I escalated this to customer service asking for significant promotion or refund and still have not heard back over a week! An experience I feel is worth a significant promotion, refund, compensation, etc. Here are our concerns:
-We had a significant leak in our bathroom (see attached)
I had to report it a 2ndday before it was looked into (Reported Day 2, Reported again Day 3)
-Maintenance came to inspect and left this like the attached pictures for the rest of our trip (this was day 3 of 7)
-It was never fixed
-It continued throughout our stay
-We were not asked to switch rooms
-There is a safety concern of water and exposed electrical wires with our 9-year-old and 11-year-old children present
-Exposure to mold is also a concern
-Internet was also down for 12 hours one day starting a bit after midnight and not resolved until a bit after noon time
-This was not the experience we were anticipating. I am very disappointed that your hotel staff felt the way this was handled was appropriate! I have pictures and video to share if anyone from Movenpick wishes to see them and actually follow up!

We entered the hotel on Christmas eve to room 610. From the first day, we reported the Aircon, Hairdryer and one lamp wasn't working, could they please send someone to repair it. We repeated this request for 3 days in a row. Eventually they asked us to move to another room (311). The new room had a working haridryer, but the safe was too small for a laptop, the aircon sounded like a plane taking off (altough cooling slightly - would call it a built-in fan, not an aircon) and the shower leaking.
Aside from those issues the room, bathroom and hotel was very clean, all the required items you need for a family stay there. But the overly warm room and equipment not working, wasn't making this a pleasant stay as I woke up tired from not sleeping in the immense heat in the first room (during winter!). We dont exactly pack summer clothers for winter holidays.
Please don't indicate on sites like Hotels.com that you provide certain facilities, if you don't. I won't book with this hotel again.
Also, the reception messed up a bit with our Christmas eve dinner booking at the restaurant, but the bar was friendly enough to accommodate us.

Basic hotel on the outskirts of Zürich, right next to the freeway, not too far from the airport. No problem to stay there one night, but don't expect anything fancy. The room was basic. Even though I stayed right next to the freeway, I slept like a baby.

Thé Movenpick Airport hotel in Zurich was relatively convenient for a flight the next day, although I emphasize the relatively. It was physically close to the airport but was still a complicated drive to connec them.
the front desk staff was very helpful, which was great because there were a number of problems. The air conditioning didn’t work in our room, (it was at least 10 degrees F cooler in the hallway than our room) and there was no crib available when we arrived with our baby. It took 2 hours to get a crib and we had to get a fan to move the hot air around in our room.
Additionally dinner of a burger and Al vegetarian pasta cost $60 US. They were both tasty but neither was worth the price. Would look elsewhere for future stays.
