The Morgan Resort Spa Village

The Morgan Resort is beautiful resort- with breathtaking views of the ocean and a very short walk to the famous and beautiful Maho Beach. The infinity pool is stunning and was a very comfortable temperature! There were no issues getting seats or towels. For the most part, the staff were very friendly and eager to provide the best hospitality experience for their guests. Our room was modern and a formidable size. The bed was comfortable - I would have loved a comforter or more bedding. I know it’s the tropics, but our AC was definitely working well and I was sleeping with a sweater. Our only complaints* (and not really meant in a negative manner) were that there was very little to do on the resort itself; we enjoyed lounging by the pool and the nightly singers, but definitely couldn’t have kept our children entertained if we had brought them. And, although the food and drink are delicious and very well done, our dinners were costing us around $300 with the exchange. All told, for the three day holiday, and without any souvenirs, we added $1500 to our trip cost in meals. It’s expensive everywhere- so plan to add a substantial amount to your trip budget if you are wanting to eat! All in all, we toured the island quite a bit (we rented a car) and The Morgan Resort appeared to be the nicest, most modern hotel option that we could see! I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a relaxing vacation.

Just the place to stay in SXM…I was familiar with the prior owners of the property but Morgan brought it to another level! JUST DONT LOOK ANY FURTHER…THIS IS THE PLACE weather you come for business, family vacation or friends trip!

Front desk and concierge staff needs customer service training. They seem very rude and do not understand nor sympathize about parents or kids. The porters however are very friendly and helpful!

What stood out to me the most was the service I received from Joseph at the front desk. Joseph if you should ever read this, you are a gem. You made our three night stay ran as smooth as you could and you went above and beyond to ensure my family and I had a great stay and for that I say thank you. My dislikes were, no much options to choose from for meals, there aren’t any microwaves or kitchen areas in the rooms so everything you need has to be ordered from their restaurant causing you to spend excess. Wasn’t an issue for me but I’d you are seeking a quiet space here isn’t for you because it’s close to the airport and you’ll hear the airplanes coming and going throughout the day. Overall it was a good experience. I did enjoyed the view and the kid’s friendly pool.

Great location. Just minutes from the airport with shuttle service free to/from. Only a few minutes to walk to Maho Beach to see the planes land & take off. Many options to eat within walking distance. A short drive away to see the rest of the island. Front desk & concierge staff were friendly & very helpful. The pool is beautiful. Our 6 year old loved the slide! Beautiful view of the ocean from the pool. Watched the regatta pass by. The bartenders at the pool bar were great. Our balcony was right next to the set up for the performers/singers every night. Was great to watch them right there from our balcony. But, If you have small children who don’t sleep well with noise you may want to ask for a room away from the restaurant or the entertainment will keep them up/wake them up in the evening. The semi-negative interactions we had were the staff at the restaurant. Not all, but several of the waitstaff were not very friendly or attentive. Otherwise we had a great stay here & would stay again.

The Morgan resort and spa was great. The staff made u feel like family and the resort was divine.

The Staff at the Facility (Pool Area and Front desk Staff) were very unwelcoming and very rude.Extra consideration was eye opening for guess who were not of Asian decent or Black American! If that’s the Policy of your Resort then you should advertise if you are Asian or Black your not Welcome and then me and my family could have Chosen another Resort to stay! The only staff that treated us with professionalism was Raviola the bell Hope always helpful and accommodating the entire stay. ( Extremely Racist Atmosphere) Non European travelers Beware.( we have travel to 9 Caribbean destinations and this one is the worst ever.

We loved many things at this property: The staff is AMAZING! Kind, polite, effective. Cannot say enough good of Kirk at the pool, Patrick at the entrance, Danalove at the front desk. Really 5* The pool and outdoor setting are fabulous, the hotel is close to Maho beach and Village which is very convenient. They have a small rescue animal farm, a nice gym and the hotel is very clean and kid friendly. The least favourable elements were the dampness of the room, no matter how much we used the AC, it stayed damn. Also, bad luck, but the fire alarm went off at 3am due to a glitch, and kept ringing on and pff for 30 minutes… and wasn’t acknowledged the next day. Overall, we would stay here again without a doubt.

Food is nasty.. my sink was clogged and the front desk staff didn’t make me feel like I could interact with them to ask questions. And if you are trying to get away from children this place wouldn’t be a good choice because families bring their children anyways.

My wife and I visited the Morgan Resort in April 2023. This resort truly impressed from our first day to our last. The staff of the Morgan was certainly the highlight of our stay. Our junior oceanview suite was very attractive, nicely designed and most of all, very comfortable. Meals and bar service were consistently very good and servers really tried to “make your day” with every visit, I can point out particularly great service from Alex, Eric and Shamila who stand out in particular. Music throughout the property was enjoyable and varied daily. Evening live entertainment was low-key but also fun and very enjoyable. I found the resort design to be quite amazing. The beautiful pool is the heart of the property with its infinity edge toward the ocean, sloping sand-like sides, gentle waterfall edge with nicely placed palms. The hotel surrounds the pool in a “U” shape. We loved our stay at the Morgan and would highly recommend it to others as an excellent choice when visiting St Maarten.
