My family of four embarked on a pilgrimage (Umrah) from the USA. Our Fairmont Makkah Clock Royal Tower staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. Although it took some time, they eventually provided us with the best room on the 60th floor. I was amazed by the breathtaking city view from our room. The breakfast they offered was genuinely exceptional, featuring fresh fruits, oven-fresh bread, various types of soup, dates, nuts, a variety of cheeses, and pancakes. Notably, Masjid-e-Haram was conveniently located a zero-minute walk away, as the journey to the mosque commenced from the hotel's first floor. Overall, our Umrah pilgrimage was an outstanding experience.

This was a spiritual trip for our family so closeness to Mecca was the priority therefore selecting the hotel. Service is not consistent. Staff knowledge is limited. The elevators are a mess! Hotel is huge and elevator banks are either SO slow (10 minutes wait) or out of service…BUT the staff at the breakfast restaurant are truly wonderful!!! Very kind and go out of their way to please! That was the second favorite part about the hotel (after location).

My family and I loved this place. The location was exactly as I had hoped for and the staff was friendly.

Room 716 smelled of smoke and we notified the front desk. Our kids were having breathing issues. We asked them to stay in our room 705

Excellent property, very close to the haram, and 24/7 day care / kids club during Ramadan.

Excellent time for a family umrah trip...

The AC was set to low temp. I called services four times as my kids were freezing and I was told the maintainence staff will come to fix it .... they never did.... after so many calls they sent me an electric heater !!!! I booked two adjacent rooms , the lady said we can only send one and we as parent has to ration that for the kids room !! I paid 770 $ per night for myself and kids to sleep in freezing room . I won't go back

My first umrah with family and 4 kids ages from 2-10. Alhumdu lillah fairmont Makkah make it a great trip! We checked in late after midnight. Staff was readily available, spoke English and gave us a comfortable room. Room was clean and HAd all the amenities one would expect. On daily basis room cleaning was superb. And staff was always available on phone or in person to help. We left one of our luggage pieces at the hotel when leaving, they were very helpful in locating, and following up and shipped to madinah. They followed up again for satisfaction survey. 5 star experience.
