TRYP by Wyndham Isla Verde

The location and price for this hotel makes it worth it. You can tell the rooms have been renovated but the furniture choices are not functional, only 1 night stand in a double bed room and a huge desk like table on the side and a couple colorful ottomans. We also saw a couple baby roaches, so theres that. The pool and gym is basic. The front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, bar, restaurant staff were nice, food was good, happy hour drinks were my favorite thing. Beach is steps away and plenty of restaurants and walgreens close by.

The rooms were small, but nice and clean. very European… front desk staff was good. Only problem was the parking. My room wasn’t ready when I got to the hotel but I wanted to park my car and go get food. The front desk staff told me where to park and that it was $15. When I tried to park, the attendant didn’t want to let me in because I couldn’t prove I was staying at the hotel. I showed him my ID and reservation and told him to call the front desk. He finally let me park. The next morning, I turned in my room keys, but the machine wouldn’t take my parking ticket so I couldn’t get out. I hit the button for assistance. The same kid came over and wouldn’t let me out because he said he didn’t know that I’d paid. I told him it was on my room bill and to call the front desk. He walked away and wouldn’t let me out! Luckily, another guest came thru and I was able to follow them out. Need to have a better system for the hotel and parking to communicate.

I love how front desk staff Alexandria was polite & sweet and very informative about the area I’ll be back and I’d recommend it friends and family

the 3rd floor smell like weed the buffet was $20. for adults and $10 for children I only wanted oatmeal So i had to pay 20 bucks, we could have stayed at the Hamptons with free buffet

The showers had mold, the rooms really dirty . Found roaches in the bathroom We book 3 rooms through expedia for the entire family . One of the barhrooms without door.

Very centrally located and having parking was the best. My only suggestion is about the laundry: it should have it's own space instead of sharing with the gym. A seating area plus a dispenser selling single use laundry needs would be a great addition and welcomed to families and people wishing or needing to launder a few items.

The location is the only positive of this property. For some reason towels are treated like gold, 3 nights and one set of towels.. after repeatedly asking for towels, I went to the basement and got my family it’s own towels. I’ll stay down the street my next visit. Marriott, Hyatt I don’t have these issues.

This hotel was very clean & modern looking. The rooms, however, are extremely small. So if you’re traveling with kids it can be cramped. Additionally a small annoyance was getting beach towels for the pool. You have to get them from the front desk & then go back to the front desk to let them know you’veput them in the bin when you’re done, presumably to avoid a charge. They keep track of who takes a towel, how many, & what room. Never experienced that in my traveling.

Our family of four stayed for one night. We enjoyed the beach access across the street as well as the hotel pool. Very convenient that the hotel provides beach and pool towels. Room was small but clean and stylish. Would recommend providing a few water glasses and more than 3 bath towels.

Close to airport and close to tourist attractions we wanted to visit. Located in the city area so convenient to find things you need as a family.
