Family trip with 2 children (8 and 11). Quite hotel with not much activity so a little bit boring for our children. Super good for us though for 2 nights :). Friendly staff , good food and clean.

Spent 9 nights in the resort with 2 kids(11&9) and another family of 5. We all had a fab time and the staff were great. Most especially the reception staff(Osavaldo and Daniel) never tired of giving us details of what to do and where to go. Room was lovely and cleaned everyday. The resort not in the centre of town but I guess you can’t get the beautiful grounds they have in the centre of town. They said the resort was fully booked the day we arrived but we didn’t feel like we were bumping into people everywhere we turned throughout our stay. Outdoor gym and a tennis court(kinda pricey at £10 per hour). Free shuttle to the supermarket and town square. All in all fab holiday and I’ll definitely recommend and come back when I visit Algarve again.

We went for a week away in the Sun with our 2 children aged 2 and 4. The hotel was fresh, modern and the grounds were pristine. We had a 2 bedroomed townhouse which was spacious and again pristinely clean and well appointed. Breakfast buffet was good, lovely freshly squeezed juices and English sausage, scrambled egg made from eggs (not powdered)! We had a hire car which was great for getting out and about - the location is fairly remote so for us the car was a must. There is a shuttle service to the supermarket (no shop nearby), into Carvoerio and to the beach. Restaurants are fab especially in Benagil but they are a drive away. Vanda runs the kids club and it was great for our little people. Fine for both kids to go whereas other hotels minimum age tends to be 4 which would have meant Thomas couldn't go. The room has air con and is very well equipped with toys and games. Also lovely touches like taking the kids to feed the fish in the pond, they loved it, big highlight for them. Note that the hotel's entertainment is fairly low key - whilst we were there, there was one parrot show and one bird of prey show. So basically it's fairly quiet at night time, no kids disco (which was a bit of a disappointment for the kids). However I guess the size of the hotel has an impact here, and I would rather have the relaxed atmosphere that goes with a smaller complex. There was waiter service to your sun bed :) Daily specials on cocktails at 4 Euros each which was good.

We stayed in a house near the 'warm pool'. The accommodation was lovely and much bigger than we expected with living/dining room, kitchen (with washing machine which was super handy!), and 2 bedrooms with en-suites and balconies with views over the small pool upstairs. (The main TV in the living room was very big too which was nice too). Breakfast at the hotel was very good with a wide selection of food and drink - unfortunately we didn't get to try dinner there though. The hotel is a bit out of town so having a car is definitely helpful (but I understand they do provide a free shuttle to Carvoeira beach a few times a day). Bring a bit out of town means the hotel is spacious and the grounds are lovely with lots of plants and flowers and a wide variety of birds that visit the grounds. All in all, a very nicely done hotel which is a pleasure to stay in. The hotel also has a good policy of offering vouchers towards the restaurants on exchange for a reduced cleaning service to save water /changing towels and sheets etc. FAMILIES BE AWARE - we booked this hotel specifically because it says it has a free kids club, but on arrival we were told it wasn't busy enough so there was no kids club at all (we were there mid to end of May).
