The hotel was hosting 2 large events. It was complete chaos at check in. It took ages to get in the front door, at least 10 minutes to wait for a lift up to the room, down was worse as every lift that arrived on second floor was completely full. We had to wait for the fifth lift before we could go down. The pool area was busy, not a problem but the lifeguards did not control the kids splashing and jumping around the pool bar. Finally we had a 4 am start, the noise, shouting, etc in the corridors late at night likely from the events meant had a poor sleep.

The Spiral buffet which lots of people in the Philippines claim to be very good (& the biggest buffet, so far, in the Phils with diff international cuisine- is NOT of our expectation especially we paid P5K per adult on a Sunday dinner. The seafood just comprised of crab (with shells not even cracked for convenience), shrimp & oyster only. They had steamed fish but in the Korean food section. Not recommendable for those seafood lover as they carry very limited amount of seafood. They have variety of international food but not as good as we expected. We WONT come back here nor recommend to friends & families. In addition, Sofitel is no longer a waterfront hotel coz there’s currently a reclamation project being done by the govt.

Lovely property. The pool is everything. It feels like Club Med. very much French style, they also avoid single use plastics. Super clean. Perfect for families and young ones. Also guests were quiet by the pool.

Sofitel is a nice hotel for the money, but it’s old and needs improvements, services were a little bit slow, killed a big cockroach in our room it’s family oriented but needs more entertainment for oldies on a vacations, SNAPS a sports bar needs to open at least till 2am, the traffic at the registration area is like the traffic in Manila, Sofitel is nice but it’s boring and old, it needs a nice lobby for guests,, they need to relocate the musicians, so the guests can use the staircase openly and properly, needs to improve the quality of food at SNAPS, needs a small convenient store for guests for their personal necessities, needs to create an access to SEASCAPE, too many trees in the pool area, needs better food at COCOS and a good renovation on the whole pool area, but I still giving you 5 Stars because I had a good rest and great sleep, by the the Spiral Buffet was overwhelming but not memorable, too much food for the price on Valentine’s Dinner with my 15 friends, it’s was only OK, I had better buffet on a lower price, you need to add southern fried chicken and crispy chicken wings like the one they had at SEASCAPE, all of these suggestions and comments is for the betterment of your establishment. Thank You.

Came here for a family vacation with our 5 year old daughter. The outdoor pool area was a hit for her! The water was freezing cold for me regardless of how hot it was outside. Property is well maintained. We ate at Spiral, Cocos, and Le Bar. Food was good and comparable to what I would expect at an American 5 star hotel ($$$$). The biggest downside is how LOUD it gets at night. We came during Lunar New Year where I could hear barking dogs, loud neighbors, and the fireworks. Needless to say they could use some sound proofing. I would only stay here again if my daughter is coming with.

My room key was deactivated 4 times. I had to go to the front desk leaving my family camped out at the room to fix it. The checkin was a total disaster. Breakfast is over priced. The hotel is beautiful but staying here is frustrating

It’s a very nice looking hotel in a really good location. I did not like the noise level at night - kids running in the hallway and people talking very loud as they pass by. I was not also advised of a band playing so I couldn’t sleep good my first night. What’s very disappointing was the strong “drain odor” in my bathroom. I did not report it immediately as I thought maybe it’s been unused for a while and I have been out of my room most of the day and only return at night. But it got so bad that I have to wear a mask in the bathroom to be able to use the toilet and take quick showers so that I did not have to stay there that long. I reported in Monday morning and it was not resolved that night when I returned. I started vomiting that night. I reported it again the following day. Tuesday night, the problem remains the same. If I did not have to cut my trip short because I got sick, I would have transferred to a different hotel. No one offered to move me to another room.

The security guards at the property are rude. Come to think of it, from those at the gate, at the lobby and those in the dining area, all are unbelievably curt (as compared to the security personnel in Shangrila BGC). Was asking for consideration to park the car in neutral so I wait in the car with my newborn while my husband was checking in (since the lobby was pretty crowded and I didn’t want the expose my baby to such crowd). They kept telling me it was policy, I understand but a little leeway never hurt especially the driveway was empty. Anyway, aside from that, the frontdesk and the service staff at the buffet were really nice in comparison. My son and yaya were both celebrating their birthdays and the front desk and dining staff were very kind enough to surprise them with cakes. My son was over the moon with the unexpected treat. Rooms were nice too since they’ve been renovated.
