New World Makati Hotel

Lovely hotel with very nice friendly staff. Great buffet. Good price. Extra bed provide for my kid. Main bed was a bit hard it could do with a pillow top. Great pool and a proper very good gym and sauna. Right across from Green zone with loads of dining options. Over all I would recommend for family.

Swimming pool was relatively warm, and pool was not exposed to direct sun light after1400 so that kids enjoyed playing in the water. Staffs are friendly, breakfast on 24th floor were amazing. Definitely want to stay again.

The hotel facilities are great except that the water temperature in the pool is too cold. It wasn't good seeing our kids shivering. The check in process was slow. It could have been improved if staff were more aware of the queue building up. There was an extra staff talking nicely to guests who were in the queue. The extra staff could have opened another check-in desk which was available. I find that a waste of resources. We checked out before 12 noon and again there was a queue of 10 guests while there were two free desks. In the queue were guests both checking out and checking in when check in should only start at 2 or 3 pm. Obviously, check in procedures take a bit longer. Management should have considered designating a desk solely for checking out. We ended up waiting in queue for 25 minutes just hand back our keys. Not really a great customer experience.

Perfectly located hotel right next to Greenbelt 3. Pool is medium sized with one swim lane (25m), and a kids paddling pool. Breakfast selection is very wide, some good, some not so good. Hotel was extremely busy (full?) for Easter when we were there, so there were queues for breakfast, waits for the elevators, and Sun loungers were scarce. Service was great, especially the nice pool bar guy, helpful concierge, and very attentive main bar waitresses. Finish in rooms/bathrooms starting to get a tiny bit tired, but definitely not bad (they just need to get their plumber/tiler with more attention to detail. All in all, pretty good, but not perfect. Good value for money though.

Really convenient hotel right next to malls, cafes, restaurants, cinemas. The staff are all friendly and efficient. Special mention to Wilson and the team in the Residence Club. My only suggestion is that children should not be allowed in the business lounge during cocktail hours. Or at least assign a separate room where they can be as rowdy as they want to be. There was a loud crying baby as well as a toddler running up and down the area when I was there.

Hotel failed to bring our luggage after check-in, had to finally go down and get it ourselves after 30-40 min. After a long day of traveling this was very inconvenient, we just wanted to have a quick shower and change of clothes. Missed our dinner out as the kids were too hungry and tired. Expected to have extra beds included in our booking as we booked for 4 persons, had to pay extra. Bad climate, room had insufficient ventilation and everything was really damp including bed and sheets. No Netflix or screen sharing. Excellent breakfast and otherwise attentive staff. Nice pool area.
