Wayak Hotel & Suites

I left early. I booked 6 nights. I stayed 3. Like the reviews say, it’s LOUD. I was near the restaurant so I heard EVERYTHING. Staff conversations, patron laughter, dishes cleaning, cooking, laundry. All of it. The bar across the street music I didn’t mind. (The bar was empty but blaring music on a Thursday) The good things about Wayak: NO BUGS! Very clean. Not a single critter in the room. Bed was too firm. Awkward room layout. I booked a junior suite. Soon arriving I was put in small standard room. No explanation. I said No I booked a suite … after 30 min wait I got my room. I didn’t appreciate that, like I wouldn’t notice. The food offered is good enough :) but the drinks… kool aide. I was shocked. The staff is average. But the manager is great. The location is great as well. As you’ll need to orchestrate your own ventures as there’s no concierge or list of nearby restaurants or shopping. This place is good. Ok. But nothing special. I really appreciate the no bugs :) and the quality toilet paper. So I won’t be back. But it’s great for the price. I just couldn’t get good sleep there & wanted something a little more romantic.

Friendliest staff, treat us like family. Great food. My husband ordered the spaghetti and I ordered the chicken. Breakfast is also made to order!

We were in Nicaragua for a family wedding, and we loved staying here! It is in a convenient location, has delicious breakfast AND dinner included, a beautiful courtyard we’d sit in most days and share a drink. The staff was incredibly kind and helped us arrange shuttles to Laguna de Apoyo and Granada. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
