What a disappointment - 5 star hotel in Auckland with the pricing attached, really should not be rated so high.
The check in - we booked via Hotels.com - arrived at 1.30pm - rooms not available (we'll email when they are) and family who booked direct - straight into their rooms. No portacot for the baby and never bought up to the room. Hotel commented they were 'not going to charge for the porta cot as a gift " apparently they are complimentary anyway? (if they arrive in the room)
Roll out bed for a 7 year old - $90?
Bowl of shoe string fries in the bar - $10 and half cold.
With our booking via Hotels .com we were advised we would receive a bottle of wine per room - turns our it was a 375ml bottle that we had to ask for on departure.
Mould all through the bathroom fittings - shower door did not open properly and this room was in the new tower.
No towels in the spa / pool area
Room key stopped working - the attendant mixed with 'the other room' so both rooms had to have new keys issued which meant going to find family to give new keys.
Breakfast at 8 - no dress code - contrary to the advice given. People wearing jandals and hoodies. the food was luke warm at best. Kids running riot at the chocolate fountain - standing there eating ice creams and dipping in the fountain as they ate. No staff to move them on.
Ordered coffee for the table - our order arrived 3 times? Would not hurry back - there are nicer venues in Auckland City.

Great for a wee family getaway. We booked a 2 double bed room with breakfast.
When we checked in the staff were all very pleasant, and the lady looking after us brought round a little backpack with slippers, Activites etc which was such a nice touch.
Our room was fine, perhaps a little bit worn in th bathroom, but very comfortable with great beds.
The only downside was the cleanliness of the room. These were spiderwebs hanging in the corner and dust build up in some places.
We had the breakfast included and you certainly would not want to go anywhere else for it. Amazing buffet with so many options, including chocolate fountains, waffles and ice cream for the kids! My favs were the savoury scrolls and the freshly squeezed orange juicer. But everything I had was fantastic.
Overall a very good stay, but could just up their housekeeping.

The Cordis staff provides such excellent services and personal touches. Appreciated this visit (our 55th ) Leggorio in the dining room looking after our family. The hotel was quite busy, but the staff handled it very well.

It was school holidays and unfortunately children were being very noisy and disruptive in the spa area, not a relaxing experience but we love this hotel

This is an amazing hotel with fantastic facilities for the whole family. I especially enjoyed the 24 hour gym which really helped with my jet lag. My daughters loved the swimming pool and my husband the hot tub. The steam room and sauna was an excellent way to relax after my gym sessions. The staff were so brilliant though out our stay here, so helpful and nothing was to much trouble. You truly have an excellent team here.

I did not like that the person at the front desk who checked us in, did not explain to us about the facilities etc. I overheard the person next to him, asking the guest who was checking in, if it's his first time at their hotel, and he showed him a piece of paper explained about the facilities, restaurants etc. My family and I had to find out ourselves if regular food was being served at the lobby restaurant, it looked more like a high tea place. We didnt' know that there was a free shuttle to downtown, thank you for the poster that we saw. The rooms were clean, hotel is quiet even though it's next to the a busy street, an easy walk to some restaurants. They give us unlimited bottled water. The water in the shower would suddenly get too hot, so better to turn in low.

The valet parking attendant yelled at me as I got out of my car to tend to my screaming baby, to the point where he apologised for speaking to me out of hand. The bath plug didn’t work so we couldn’t bath our baby and the phone also did not work in the room. Upon picking up our vehicle after paying $55 for valet parking we noted a large dent and scratch along the drivers door and after communicating it to them have still not heard back. Poor for a hotel that has such a good name.
