Would have liked better cleaning with more periodical spring clean and check the quality. Toilet was not as cleaned as it should be when we checked in. They seem to have interconnecting rooms but elected not to give this to us and had us separated by another room. Our friends (party of 3) had another room which would fit 4 people as it was almost twice the size with a separate lounge (and lounge bed) with kitchenette (sink, dishwasher, microwave and fridge only). We have older kids (over 12) so we had to book two rooms. Bed nice and firm but pillow a bit thick to my liking. It is the furthest hotel from Lemon Bay or Anse Vata so either walk or take bus. Taxi is cheaper than them ordering a private transfer. To be honest, probably not worth the money and would chose somewhere else to stay. Beach front location is not a priority if you want to stay in Noumea and save money. Cooking facilities would keep your cost down as things are not cheap in New Caledonia. While not their own doing, pool is cooler in July (winter time) and beach was closed for swimming. Slightly windy end of the beach and suited for kite surfing etc. Other side which share with another hotel is more wind sheltered.

We are completely speechless, amazed, and grateful for Le Méridien Noumea's amazing service. The ladies went out of their way to assist us with each minor or huge request we had, and went above and beyond to do even more for us. It was the most reliable, helpful, efficient, and friendly service we'd ever encountered. Many thanks! and, in particular, you, Chloe! The resort is beautiful and welcoming, and it is situated on a wonderful and breathtaking lagoon. Breakfast at Le Sextant is delicious, and the staff is extremely kind and sweet! What a fantastic way to start the day. My only disappointment was that there was no complimentary Jacuzzi for guests. The location is ideal for families and individuals of all ages. We highly recommend it and will definitely return!

The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. Location was great. Pool was lovely. Outlook over the ocean and onto the nearby islands was great. However, this was all overshadowed by the dilapidated state of the property. The concrete is broken, fascia is missing, paint is peeling and, absolutely worst of all, our room absolutely stunk of mould and mildew, which seems to be a common issue (other reviews) and a health concern. Until these issues are fixed, I could not recommend anyone stay here, particularly at the price. If these issues were fixed, I would 100 per cent return. A few other things would be nice-to-haves, but not essentials. There are: 1. For the pool and pool bar to stay open beyond 5 pm. With children it would have been nice to have somewhere to eat and drink before Le Sextant opens at 6.30pm/7pm (depending on the day). Particularly given the lovely setting. 2. The a la carte menu at Le Sextant did not change while we were there, which was challenging given it was the only restaurant at the resort and we were resort-bound with a small child. This is possibly more of a concern to resort-bound people such as us. 3. The quality of the resort food could improve as it was often overcooked, but, oddly, on one night it was really good. This could be staffing / chef. We stayed November 2022.

The resort is definitely not 5 star! More like 3 star. The upgraded room we were given stunk and in the morning in the light we could see there was mould everywhere! We were travelling with our baby and asked to be moved, which they did and second room was better but still not great. The resort exterior is very run down with concrete falling off the building in chunks. Huge balls of moisture on exterior walls. Roof fascia has beeb torn off in parts and not replaced. Outdoor furniture on balcony is rusting and unstable. Grounds need work to make them beautiful. Staff were lovely. The pool area was great and pool was huge! Beach was great for swimming. Should not be advertised as 5 star, should not be selling rooms at premium price.
