Beautiful hotel, everything was clean and appealing to the eye. The decor was top notch! Had a two story family room, sleeper sofa on first floor for our 2 kids and a king size bed upstairs for us. Room was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was also a great size. Perfectly situated in the canal area of Amsterdam and just a 5-10 minute walk to the Anne Frank House and walking distance to many other attractions and areas.

We had a great experience at Hotel Mercier. It is in a wonderful location, walkable to many sights and close to a tram line. They offer a family suite that worked perfectly for our family of 4. I would definitely stay here again.

The property itself is very chic, superb location and lovely rooms - definitely go for a junior suite and above, and ask for a room with light as there are a few at the back with no light. Great for coming back to in between being out and about. Few things could be improved - restaurant staff were rude when telling us to eat non restaurant food upstairs. Could have been handle politely and more gracefully than with attitude. The toilet paper is super rough and needs to be replaced with softer. We went out to buy our own.

Great location, walking distance to all main attractions at Downtown. Hotel has a great antique style, the room was nice and big. We got the suite with a mezzanine and it was perfect for our family (2a 2c). The children loved the bathtub also. Friendly and helpful staff. The only downside was the fact that the restaurant is vegan and I am fan of a steak. But this is mi opinion and it didn’t impact our great experience there. We recommended this hotel.

Room was too dark, especially the toilet. You can't see how clean the toilet is when it is so dark. There are also no storage spaces and no cupboard for clothes. They provided some hooks but they are too close together, so when hanging your clothes, all the clothes bunch up together rather than allowing them to air. Would not come back to the same hotel and would not recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful hotel in the vibrant Jordaan neighborhood. The junior sweet provided a homey respite during our travels.

Easy access to the hotel from the number 17 tram exiting at Westermarkt, just over the bridge from the hotel. We arrived straight from our flight a little early, expecting to just leave our luggage, but we were very happy that our room was already available so that we could freshen up before heading out to explore. As a family of three with a teenager, we booked a mezzanine room which worked out perfectly for us. The room was spacious, bright and clean. We loved some of the quirky design details., both in our room and in the public areas. The hotel was in a quiet street so no being kept awake all night by stag parties. It was just across the canal and a few minutes walk from the Anne Frank House. The art museums are about a twenty minute walk away where it suddenly became much busier than near the hotel. My daughter loved that we were on the top corner of the 9 Streets and loved the vintage clothes stores. The shower was nice and hot and choice or rainfall head or regular wall attachment - really appreciated after a long day site seeing. The bathroom was quirky with a separate toilet which was convenient with three of us wanting the shower and sink separately. We appreciated small details such as the small night light in the toilet - no stumbling around in the dark or waking everyone up with a bright light in the middle of the night. In summary, would always choose this hotel for future visits and would recommend to anyone we know who plans to visit Amsterdam.

Hotel was very quiet and comfortable. Only complaint was that the hotel website was not updated so we followed the directions to take the tram, only to find the stop and line were no longer in use and had to then have a further 30minute walk to get to the hotel. With two children on a very hot day, it would have been nice to have been warned!
