Always a pleasure staying here, I'm a frequent visitor with over 40 nights stay with friends and family. This time I upgraded to a Godzilla Top Floor room and it was big, roomy and an amazing view. HDMI hook ups, shower room as usual was fantastic. Great toilet of course. The beds a bit hard and pillows but I'm getting used to them.

We did a long layover (2 days), my infant, hubby and I. We were traveling from SF and heading home to Guam, so decided to take an extended layover since the hubby has never been. I chose to stay in Shinjuku because it was close to everything, and like I said it was the hubbys first time, I’ve been quite a few times so I figured Shinjuku would be a good place.
Check in was a breeze. Lobby was on the eighth floor, since the property is connected to a theater which I wanted to check out, but I had my 7 month old son with us. Our room was on the 19th floor and the view was spectacular. I had an infant who was just on eleven hour flight, so I thought our neighbors would be annoyed, but to tell you the truth it was so quiet, we couldn’t hear them so I’m pretty sure they couldn’t hear us.
The shower room in our room was perfect, it was literally a whole room just for us to shower, with a tub for my little one. After we all freshened up from the long flight we walked around the vicinity and tried to find a place to eat. Plenty of restaurants but not too many places to take the baby which was expected since Shinjuku is more for tourist without kids, so we ended up at McDonald’s lol. Cannot complain, Japan McDonald’s is good haha!
Next morning, we woke up and it was a bit drizzly out, but luckily there were umbrellas readily available for us in the room. Train stations were within walking distance. I’d stay here again!

Our family spent the whole Tokyo trip of 6 nights here. The cab driver from airport said this area is 'red light' area, and suggested us to move to a more 'decent' place. I confirmed if the place is safe and he said yes, so we decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a perfect place! Unlike other new/modern places, this area is full of life until mid night. There are lots of young people in costumes that you won't see in anywhere else in Tokyo, and it is safe! Hotel rooms are pretty big (Japan standard). Included breakfast is mixed style and we went there every morning for 6 days and not bored. Highly recommend this hotel.

Only bummer was not being able to go out and see the Godzilla. It’s been closed since November last year and is still, so if that’s the reason you wanna book- don’t. Otherwise, amazing hotel and the proximity to shinjuku station is UNBEATABLE. Night time is busy and not very kid friendly but also not obscene. Also the breakfast buffet was great — I wish I could get the recipe for their croquettes

Definitely a nicer & spacier hotel in Tokyo! I stayed on the Godzilla floor, which is the 30th top floor. The views were amazing! I could see both Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower from my windows, and overlooking the bustling neon Shinjuku at night was mesmerizing. The premium room came with a separate bath and toilet areas, which was nice too.
Location wise, the hotel is at the heart of Kabuki-cho area, which is full of tourism & entertainment but also a lot of adult or questionable businesses. Word of advice is to be careful especially when you are approached by someone in English. It may not be the best area for families at night.
Hotel in itself was great. It’s like a Godzilla theme park! There are a ton of Godzilla displays and merch. The lobby cafe serves Godzilla coffees and waffles, and best of all, you can see the Godzilla head up and close! If you stay on the Godzilla floor, you can also browse through some Godzilla stills along the hallway. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves the Godzilla series.
The walk to Shinjuku station is about 8 minutes, and the Shinjuku station is huge - so plan plenty of time ahead for travelling.

Being close to Shinjuku station and lots of restaurants was a big plus and the hotel is great. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. It is a very family friendly hotel with the Godzilla landmark.
However, the rooms are small, there were no dinner restaurants open at the hotel when we were there, and it is in a red light district. This latter doesn't affect guests at all neither outside nor inside, but, getting up early, the streets around it take a while to clean up which is not a reflection of the rest of Tokyo which we found extremely clean all the time.

Rooms are a bit small but manageable and very quiet. Shower, sink and toilet are all separate which was nice, but the shower is like a shower room with no curtain, just intended to get the whole room wet. Staff was friendly and helpful and held our luggage both before and after check in without problems. The Godzilla head terrace was closed off, which was a bummer but the landmark always helped us find our hotel which was nice. Laundry was easy and ¥300 to wash, but gets busy even with quite a few washers and dryers. It’s a big hotel. Next time I probably wouldn’t stay in Shinjuku now that we’ve visited the city and understand the neighborhoods a bit better- Shinjuku area especially by the hotel is like Times Square. Huge, lots of shopping and restaurant options and also lots of trash. My kids saw a man sleeping on the street one morning, we’re assuming from drunkenness and not homelessness? But the utter lack of trash cans anywhere means there’s a good deal of litter on the street everywhere. Not the fault of the hotel, just a comment on the area.

The hotel is fairly nice. It was a bit frustrating though that the Godzilla deck was closed. The area around the hotel is not very clean and is a bit questionable. We’re from NYC so it wasn’t a big deal to us. The lobby restaurant though has a very limited menu and that was a bit annoying; especially when dealing with 2 jet lagged kids. The staff was fairly helpful. The room was fine. The price was okay too. The location near Shinjuku station was pretty solid too.
