Oriental Hotel Universal City

Great place to stay for a family of five for two nights to see USJ. Not the biggest of rooms but was only in there to sleep at the end of the day. Also, downstairs in the restaurant does free hot dogs, ice cream and drinks every afternoon for guests, was great.

Very family friendly hotel. Location is great.

Stayed here so that the family can relax after a day at universal studios japan. Great service! Big room.

First time staying here. Parking is really confusing since there are no visible signs when driving by. Ended up parking at the city walk structure which is NOT where you park. Although the front desk told me it was all connected. The rates are insane at city walk structure. Rooms, it was ok. 3 adults, 3 children and there are only 2 towels in each room. Kept having to call for extra towels daily. Bedding, another story.. You have to be specific so they know if youre going to use the pull out bed or not. If not, they will charge ¥6000 for each bedding set. Pillows, havent had a pillow this hard since my grandma's house. Elevators aren't as busy as their nearby competitors which was nice. Late check out was super convenient, each hour is an additional ¥1000. Hotel parking is convenient, but their smoking room needs more ventilation. Walking by, you'll feel like you're inside the smoking room.

We unfortunately dealt with racism. We watched the female front desk staff check in several Japanese guest but when I approached asking if I could be checked in as well I was told I would have to wait until checkin. There was a really kind gentleman working the front desk who told the female front desk staff that he was going to check us in anyway about twenty minutes before check in. I truly want to thank him because I was literally on the verge of tears after watching over eight Japanese families be checked in and go to their rooms. After this we didn’t have any more issues but it is just heartbreaking dealing with such obvious racism. I am rating one star based on the racism alone.

Great for families who are going to USJ for a short stay. The breakfast buffet was good though they served the same menu daily. The room is not big but cosy enough for 4 pax. It is just located beside the train station and a few minutes to USJ. There are many food options at this area.

Stayed here for two nights, with my family. The room is great. Recommended

Location is accessible to train station and 2 mins.walk to universal studio..Rooms is very clean..Complete amenities you don't have to worry if you forgot toothbrush,comb, razor etc..Recommended for family traveller..
