If you are looking for a hotel close to Kyoto station this is a good choice. It’s about 1.5 miles from the city proper. There are 3 restaurants but no lobby bar. Not conducive to socializing. Best for families or business.

Two overnight stays at Miyako on this trip, same receptionist Shimojima-San, courteousness, cleanliness, accessibility.. all top notch, Aeon Mall right next door has always been my family’s favorite go-to spot, they have upgraded to larger room for me though I was traveling alone. Highly recommended!
