Hotel Smeraldo

Wonderful hotel. Great location allowing you to walk to all they main attractions. Great breakfast, hands down the best we have had included in hotel price. Front desk wonderful and very helpful for transportation needs. Definitely will highly recommend to friends and family traveling to Italy next year.

The Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was roomy and comfortable. The breakfast is great with lots of choices and very accommodating service. | The location is perfect, very close to Campo de'i Fiori. If you have a drink on the Campo de' Fiori, go to Il Nolano,named after Giordano Bruno, whose statue graces the square. There's a cool book store on the square, Fahrenheit 451, where you can buy tee-shirts bearing his image and learn his fascinating story. A few doors from there is the family run Antica Hostaria Romanesca, which has great food and fewer tourists than the other restaurants on the Campo. Hotel Smeraldo has a rooftop bar. A great place to have a drink and survey the city. In my opinion, Hotel Smeraldo should be everyone's first choice in Rome.

Great decision for location. Professional, proficient in English, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly staff, from the front-desk, to kitchen, bar staff and housekeeping. Michela, Leonardo and Abir treated us like family.

I travel to Rome frequently for business as well as vacation and to see family. I always try to stay at Smeraldo.

We stayed here as a family of 7 spanning ages from 18-67. Fab spot. So handy for all the main sights. We used the hotel airport shuttle service. Pricey, but saved time and stress of sorting transfers ourselves. Very near Piaza Navona, but even nearer Piaza Fiori which was lively and had a food market during the day. 40 minute walk to the Vatican, coliseum and Spanish steps.

We loved the location of this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful in securing a cab to the airport. Our room was. Small. But clean and certainly adequate. The marble bathroom was a nice surprise. Generally, we were very pleased with this hotel and would stay there again and recommend it to family and friends.
