The Hotel Teatro di Pompeo is a simple, family run hotel in a great area. The entrance is hard to find in what is essentially a large (hence the word Largo in the street name) area between streets, which is filled with cars. This should not put you off, but if noise bothers you, ask for an interior room overlooking the stairwell, which is rarely used because guest use a small elevator to access their rooms. If you think of the hotel as being vintage, you will be happy. What the hotel does offer are spacious rooms with lots of amenities including free WIFI; small shoe sponges to clean up shoes; wall safes;a mini bar that has room for the guests own goods; a small electric kettle for making tea (if you like milk in your English breakfast tea, buy a small bottle of milk for about 1 Euro from a local market and store it in the mini-bar) great water pressure with plenty of hot water;two computers in the downstairs lounge; paperback books left by other guests; good lighting; individually controlled heating and air conditioning; a fair assortment of breakfast items served buffet style, but at tables laid with ironed linen table cloths and napkins, and a friendly staff. The location is fantastic being just off the Corso, and close to both the Campo dei Fiori and the Piazza Navonna. There are lots of places to eat and shop in the area. This hotel offers lots of comfort at a reasonable rate in area filled with sights.
