Porto Romano The Marina Resort

Overall a beautiful property but primarily serves the yacht club and does not give recognition to the non-club patrons. We thought this would be an excellent stay to relax before our long travels home, but we were surprised that it was very remote and options for dining limited. We finally talked the restaurant into seating us without a reservation only to have our menus snatched from us and given 2 options to choose from. As we were fine with limited options we complied only to be served what appeared to be a frozen child’s pizza and lasagna. This is not a place to travel if you are not in their yacht club. Sadly this was the worst service we had during our 2 week trip to Italy.

The property was beautiful and peaceful the staff was wonderful, Natacha in particular, she made us feel like family. If and when I come back to Rome I will certainly stay there.

A very beautiful property in a scenic location. Was there in February for 1 night, this seems more like a summer property for a longer stay if you had a boat and unlimited funds for transportation. For the most part the staff made us feel like we were an inconvenience to them. It could’ve been the language barrier but we stayed in another property near Termini in Rome where we were made to feel much more welcome and another in Florence where we literally were made to feel like family. It’s near the airport but remote and not many options once on property for anytime dining or purchasing basic convenience type needs like water and snacks. There was no coffee in the room and the heat wasn’t working properly and when we called about it nobody came to the room to check it out they basically said it seems to be working on their end but they’d do something about it and call us back which they never did. We had to turn it to the equivalent of 90 degrees to be semi comfortable and the bathroom away from the only heat vent was ice cold the entire time and we are people who keep the house at 69 degrees so not cold natured. If you’re a traveler looking for a one night stay near the airport I’d choose someplace else with more things nearby perhaps. The property truly is beautiful with great potential. The lack of courtesy and respect left some to be desired.
