Towers Hotel Stabiae Sorrento Coast

We booked through Hotels.com. The hotel was a little way from Sorrento and any local trains or transport services. Perhaps we should have checked the hotel website but the Hotels.com emails failed to highlight that services - such as pool, access to the beach etc were closed. They were also painting and renovating the hotel whilst we were there which limited the areas you could walk in. There are some good and some awful staff - the bad ones were rude and unhelpful - for example our granddaughter was unwell and unable to come to breakfast (which we had paid for) A rude server told us to use room service rather than take a couple of croissants to our room for her. The food in the fine dining restaurant as anything but - there is a limited menu - there was no children's menu, of the 2 items we ordered the spaghetti al mare (seafood) was not fresh, out of the packet with a limited sauce. The separate swordfish was frozen and not properly cooked in the middle - Its was returned to the kitchen. We didn't eat there again. Overall for the money we paid we were very disappointed with the hotel - and certainly would not go back there.
