The Address Connolly

Stayed here for two nights. Room was quiet and clean. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Walking distance to temple bar area and other great areas. Only thing was they didn’t clean our room (make the bed and give us new towels) each day. I had to rebook a month in advance due to a family emergency and they wouldn’t refund me due to their strict cancellation policy. So I recommended looking into that upon booking.

Without realizing it, we were booked the first night the property reopened after housing Ukrainian refugees for a year. The staff were definitely scrambling to get the property ready in time (when we went to use the elevator it was filled with a staff member and about a dozen chairs stacked up to the ceiling of the lift, several hallways had piles of linens and boxes along the walls, many rooms were being painted, without beds, etc.) Check-in is 3pm and they are STRICT about it- it doesn't matter if you arrived at 7am on a redeye and are dead tired. Check in is at 3- and hopefully then. Rooms once we reached them (after a series of returns to the front desk to get the correct keys- different keys for the elevator and the rooms) were very nice and extremely comfortable. Our first room was on the 8th floor and was 2 connecting king rooms. Our stay a week later was in the other part of the hotel on the 4th floor- a single room that had been converted into a family suite by stuffing two twin beds into the corner. I imagine that they will get fully up and going shortly and this will be a lovely place to stay without the inconveniences of growing pains. You can't beat the location across the street from the train station!
