Maldron Hotel, Oranmore Galway

Overall was okay but when we arrived we had to change rooms three times as they were not set up for a family of five. Also, the soap in the bathrooms are way too high for children to reach in their own and there were only two towels for a family of five.

The Maldron Hotel, Oranmore has an extremely attentive staff that looks to help with any request or question. It has a great pool that even had water aerobics for my mom along with a kiddie area. The food choices were good with a cozy feel in the bar. The location was very convenient - 10 min. walk to a quaint seaside village with great restaurants and just south of Galway City, an easy Uber/bus ride away.

The hotel was very nice with comfortable beds. The family room was large and the pool was nice. Ample parking and an attached Cafe and restaurant (though we didn't use either). Wonderful walk into Oranmore for dinner at Giga's (delicious and casual) and a pint at Glynn's (WONDERFUL pub). My only complaint is our room was uncomfortably warm for sleeping, although it was a pretty warm/sunny day.

Staff was incredibly friendly. The manager even kept the restaurant open a little late to feed our family of 8. I highly recommend this place. The pool was indoor and had a great steam room and sauna.

Fantastic stay, very good location to Galway city. Food was lovely. Room was comfortable. Pool was lovely and warm, children enjoyed it. Staff were very friendly especially who checked us in. Would stay again.

The room was excellent. It was very clean, tidy and warm. Accomadated very well for the 2 adults and 3 children. Would stay there again no problem.

The hotel is good for families and the staff are very nice. The location is ideal also.

Just back from an overnight with family, the hotel is lovely and we had a great time in the pool, the staff were excellent but the temperature in the bedrooms was much too warm and we all found it difficult to sleep, i had to turn on the fan supplied in the room at 5am.

Had a fab Superior family room - for 6 of us (not many hotels offer a room to hold a family of 6). Had dinner in the bar - which was lovely.. Perfect hotel for us

We recently stayed at the maldon hotel, Oranmore in Galway. We booked a family room which consisted of two double beds and a single bed. Overall the comfort and cleanliness was very good and there was plenty of extra towels etc. One issue we had with the bathroom was the soap dispenser was very high up and far away from the sink which made it difficult for our small children to reach. The breakfast buffet was excellent and a huge selection of food was available which included pancakes and nutella which was a big hit with the kids. We also had an evening meal in the bar which also was excellent. The only fault i had here was that the kids meals should be served along with the adults starters so not to have them waiting. Apart from this it was a very enjoyable stay and the hotel is very close to the Galway races where we visited elf town at the weekend. I would have no problem recommending this hotel.
