Hotel Lækur

Beautiful little cottage for our family of five. Only a small fridge and no kitchen, but on-site restaurant and bar looked good (we didn’t eat there). Lovely location, although a little off the main road. Decent hot tub and sauna. Overall recommend their little cottages, good value.

We were lodging into the cottage as a whole family into our home Restaurant is delicious and you must try the Skyr homemade dessert (i let you discover this icelandic specialty) Take some rest into the bath and sauna looking at the landscape - and you ll forget about the over communicating world

Great hotel with explicit service. It is family run and service, facilities and food was great. Only downside is the rather remote location with only connection road as a dirt road. Picture perfect location 👌

Hotel Laekur is amazing! I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people who own it. My husband and I traveled to Iceland for our wedding along with our family and friends. They made our wedding weekend incredible. After our day long adventures it was so nice to come back to comfortable, quiet, and beautiful place. The owners were so accommodating to us and our guests and went above and beyond any expectations we had. We had our "rehearsal" dinner and wedding reception here. The food was DELICIOUS! They also made our wedding cake which was so pretty and so good. They worked with our wedding planner and florist to turn the dinning room into a romantic setting and we were floored when we came in. The service was outstanding. They met every need we had and even ones we didn't know we had - like bringing a beautiful breakfast tray to our rooms on the morning of our wedding so we had something to eat while getting ready. We stayed in one of the cottages for our trip and it was so cozy, clean, and modern. We felt right at home! Truly, I do not think our wedding would have been what it was had we not stayed here. If you're coming to Iceland you must stay here! You will not regret it. Thank you Hotel Laekur! We miss you guys already!

This is a beautiful family run property that is located on a farm. Everyone was really friendly. The dining/breakfast room windows overlook the farm and you can walk across the field to meet some friendly horses. Also there is a stream that runs along the property and a wooden bridge has been built across it so that if is warm weather there is a hammock in a small grove of trees. Wish we could have spent another day to enjoy all the amenities.
