Alva Hotel

This worked well for our family of for staying two nights in Reykjavik. Did not love the keypad to our room, as I had a hard time with it; and this was the only hotel of the six during our stay that couldn’t process our Mastercard. The code to the front door and our room came timely, it was easy to get to and park at, close to the things we wanted to see and do.

Love the check in process, a PIN number for the front door and straight to your room. Rooms very big and clean. Great for our family. We will definitely stay again when coming to Reykjavik.

no staff at all in the hotel. nobody to help you if you need anything particularly if you are with family. self check in and out

This is a good enough hotel, quiet, overall clean , there was some white powder on the floor so not sure how clean the floor is. Other than that not issue with the hotel. Check in is self-serve with clear instructions. I didn’t like the customer service as I requested in advance more pillows for the kids and didn’t get it, however owner took time to remind me to checkout before 11.

Great customer service without a front desk!!! Was able to check in early and the family loved the stay. First time doing a contactless check-in. Parking before the building is free. There’s free street parking too opposite the hotel. Netto grocery store is close by. Cleaning crew were very polite and friendly.
