The property definitely involed the viking ambience feel in the rooms and common areas. However, the family rooms were quite s m all with no adequate spaces to put suitcases. We lived out of ours for 10 days. All the beds were uncomfortable really need to upgraded. Just putting a foam top does jit f I rrect a bad bed.

I implore you not to book this hotel. Poor service, confusing terms, beware of extra charges. There are so many other hotel options in the area. Woeful lack of power outlets. Shower that a child but not anyone much bigger would fit in. Peeling paint. Very dirty.

What a fun and unique hotel! We rented a cottage, which is one room with a mezzanine/loft. The whole family enjoyed the hotel and breakfast. A great start to our trip.

I felt the hotel over charged for the ‘Viking theme’, including both the room and especially the restaurant (Drinks and food) compared to the capital. It was clean but if you are arriving after 9pm then you are out of luck for food either at the hotel or surrounding area. Breakfast wasn’t great (no eggs, bacon, etc…) Parking can be an issue after 6pm as it’s limited. Again, it’s clean, safe and I would like to mention that their staff is great. I think the owner(s) go to invest some $ into the property if they want to continue with a 4-5 star hotel daily rate. It worked for our family but I did feel a little bit like I was in a tourist trap. Hopefully not to harsh on the review. Again, clean and safe…thanks

The property was decorated in Viking theme style and great for families. Breakfast service was fantastic with several options. Fish pond and chicken coop were of interest to the kids.

It seems that the more the cost, the "cheaper" the amenities... This is a very nice property. I really appreciated the historical detail and displays around the lobby and on each floor. Breakfast was excellent, though tables are small and quite uncomfortable to sit at. Blackout curtains were WONDERFUL (we didn't always have those on our mid-summer trip and so appreciated very much those that did!) Bedding was uncomfortable - I did not like the patterned pillow coverings and took mine off entirely. Bed was a bit hard... Rooms are nice though - very spacious. Check-in was odd.... we had to wait quite a while due to the reception staff person having to go get a CUP OF ICE (!?) for another patron.... We were so tired, with all of our luggage, just standing there... nowhere to sit and awkwardly crowded with another family doing the same...

Good for families. The Viking theme was a bit stretched and was a bit “campy “. Still an excellent value and the breakfast was great. There was a little mold in the bathroom. We were first ones up and with the natural hot water it too 5 minutes to get hot water. We thought there was not hot water at first!
