Barceló Santo Domingo

Elvis checked us in and was awesome. He was friendly and professional. However, Olga in the dining room exceeded our expectations. After our first day she remembered all our special needs and had everything ready shortly after we would get to the dining room. She made our stay very positive. Paid for upgrade to have access to the executive lounge which was well worth it. Staff in the executive lounge could be a touch nicer. Misinformation about the time that the pool closes for day pass clients vs overnight guest stays left us very embarrassed and left a very unhappy child in our family group. Language was clearly a barrier. Beautiful hotel and I would stay again. They do need to replace the carpets or find a solution to the damp smells of the humid climate.

Solid good stay in Santo Domingo. Good security. On site restaurants at reasonable prices and decent quality food. Nice pool and patio. Overall, a nice place to stay whether alone or with a family.

There is something amazing about this hotel, the staff! They make you feel like part of a family; another thing that is fantastic is the food (they have one of the most tasty oatmeal I ever had). From breakfast to dinner they do great when it comes to variety and taste.

I am very satisfied with service provided to me and my family . I highly recommend
