First the good: the location is excellent. Not far from the central train station and along the waterfront. The breakfast which was included was excellent. The bathroom was nice and the shower products smelled great. The bad: the light system was too complicated to work and it drove us nuts, the "black out shades" didn't actually go all the way across the windows so light hit you in the face, the room was super hot and when my husband asked at the front desk, they told him it was a central system (i.e. you don't have control over the temperature). Worst of all was sound-proofing. Screaming and running children late into the night above our room and in the hallways made sleep impossible. Finally, the room was ridiculously small. We had a standard king and we couldn't both open our suitcases. The room was hot, loud, small, and not what we wanted or needed for the start of our vacation. I know it wasn't a five star hotel, but it was shockingly shabby.

The hotel made a good impression on the first day. The staff is friendly, the beds and chairs are comfortable, bathroom is big and clean. However, there are issues with the cleaning service on the following days. They only change the towels and don't sweep the floor at all. We stayed for six days with a toddler, so a proper cleaning service is really necessary. Another problem is the booking system for breakfast. I've never seen anything like this in my life. You have to book a specific time every day for breakfast, which is not comfortable as it forces you to stick to a schedule. When you’re on a family trip, you want the flexibility to have breakfast whenever you want. Even with a booking, the place is very crowded, with long lines just to get a coffee. If you want to avoid the crowds, you have to book for 6:30 AM. And for Coke lovers, this is not your hotel—they only have Pepsi.

This was a great hotel. Its location on the harbour, but only a 15 minute walk from the centre is perfect. The staff were friendly, and the facilities were good. We loved the rooftop terrace. It was lacking a decent shop, but essentials were available to buy in reception. My only criticism was the lack of availability of the pool for children. There were sessions available at the weekends for families, but you had to book an entire spa session at about £30! We just wanted to go in the pool! Luckily we found a public swimming pool only a 15 minute walk away.

While I’d overall consider this hotel as reasonable considering what we paid, we experienced quite a few issues that would prevent me from booking here again: • Long waits at the reception desk with some staff greeting you with a smile and others with a much colder response. • The water from the shower in one of our rooms wasn’t draining properly so we called to get it fixed. Got fixed but the repair person left behind some items and not sure what they used but it had a horrible stench that lasted 48 hours. • Breakfast is chaotic when it’s busy. Booking breakfast in advance requires you to pick time slots which disappear when no tables are left; I’m not convinced that this is a workable solution to stem the flow. Queues for coffee machines seemed typical and it didn’t help when a machine was out of order. Breakfast selection could also do with featuring a larger selection of local Danish pastries. • Not pleased with paying to use the swimming pool with kids and to have luggage stored pre-/post- check in/out

Last minute booking for 4 due to flight cancellation. £380+ for one room for one night including breakfast. I had high hopes, it even had a pool to entertain the kids. Basically this is the Ryanair of hotels. Don’t expect anything to be included, I’m surprised they don’t charge you per use of the bathroom. First the good: Very clean, modern and very quiet rooms Breakfast was excellent Good location for main station /tivoli gdns The bad: Did I mention £380 for one night? The curtains don’t shut properly so we were awake at 5 am There were no tea / coffee facilities No fridge No bottled water The lobby bar closed at 10pm. In a hotel. Madness The rooftop bar and restaurant were closed the whole time The pool charges extra U16s are not allowed in the pool Kids sofa bed extremely uncomfortable No doubt different rooms will have water / fridge but for £380 I’d expect to be able to get a beer and have better amenities than a premier inn. Unless you have more money than sense avoid

We liked the silence inside the room, the furniture, the bathroom (walk-in shower), the breakfast is magnificent and good quality for kids and adults ( a lot of variety, cereals, wafles, pancakes, good vegetables, gluten free variants, oat milk/almond milk, chia, 4-5 fruits and a lot more). Espresso house is very good inside the same hotel. Possibility to rent bicycles around 200 dkk per day. I know this hotel has 8.2 grade, but in my opinion I think it should have a better grade.

On the surface this hotel had potential but it was completely ruined by the rude staff and overpriced extras. Stay somewhere more friendly and welcoming. Booked a family room which had no fridge (for our daughter’s medication) we had to argue with reception for over an hour to change rooms. Also no kettle, water or cups in any regular rooms, all had to be purchased extra if you’d want them!!! Breakfast is a complete joke, overcrowded and chaotic. There staff trying to send you away from the breakfast room into a big lifeless presentation hall. Some staff frantically running round trying to bring extra missing breakfast foods, I had a staff member be so rude when I asked for some softer bread for my 5 year old. They charge extra for use of their swimming pool, which was completely extortionate when we found out after it was added to our room. They charge extra for bottles of water as there is nowhere in the hotel or in the rooms to get filtered water, signs saying to use the taps! There were few members of staff in here that were very kind and helpful. Majority of them were hardworking to deal with, difficult and just downright rude! And don’t get me started on the controls to turn on the lights or the heating in the room. You need a degree to figure out turning on one light. The room was freezing at night or boiling hot in the morning, the controls were from a separate system throughout the hotel.

We booked this hotel as it was advertised as family friendly, particularly for the pool. Upon check-in we were told that the pool would cost us an additional daily charge, which wasn't nominal, and that our child wouldn't be allowed to use the pool because he was under 5. Nowhere was this information mentioned upon booking. When we explained this to the staff on reception they were dismissive, uninterested and rude.

Good place to stay, big enough rooms to sleep a family and good standard. Has a Gym which is free of charge and breakfast is included in the price. Close enough to walk into the city center and Tivoli.
