Koora Hotel

This hotel was absolutely beautiful and each room was perfect for our stay. We traveled as a family of four and had two rooms that adjoined every staff member was so helpful, friendly, and truly went out of their way to make us feel special and to make sure we had an amazing vacation. This hotel was central to all of the excursions that you want to do in the surrounding area and close to many other restaurants off the property. The view from the hotel restaurant is breathtaking.

Lovely little hotel. We saw more wildlife at the reserve nextdoor than nearly anywhere on a trip. There was a sloth and baby that could be seen from the dining room all three days we were there. The staff was wonderful, especially Juan, Aaron, and Rachel.

This was the best service I’ve ever had at a hotel! Their attention to detail with our names, and the small gestures to make my kids feel special were amazing! Aaron was so great to take care of us everyday we were there. The room was beautiful and the food was excellent! We would definitely come back to this hotel!

A really beautiful hotel with the best staff I’ve ever experienced. Very thoughtful and attentive and knew my whole family’s name instantly. The restaurant at the hotel is incredible, the food and drinks were 5 star and the view from the restaurant was so beautiful. We saw coatis in the morning, a sloth in the tree outside the lobby and howler moneys in the beautiful trail behind the hotel. It was truly a memorable experience and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

What a lovely property! Our family bungalow was like living in a treehouse with a view all the way to the Pacific. We saw many birds and animals right on the property. The staff was very friendly and helpful and knew us all by name. We ate at the restaurant several times and the quality and service was excellent. Cannot say enough good things. Our family truly enjoyed our stay.

The Koora Hotel was incredible, and greatly exceeded our expectations! Marco and the rest of the staff were wonderful, recommending the best activities for our family and booking all our tours for us (including guided tours to see wildlife, ziplining, and horseback riding--each a great experience). The hotel is beautiful, clean, and eco-friendly, the view from the restaurant is unparalleled, and the food is amazing! The service is top notch. We were blown away by our experience, and would highly recommend this hotel!

The location was private with beautiful views and right next door to the Aguti Reserve to hike through with multiple animal sightings. We stayed in a lovely 2 story unit that was well designed, had comfortable beds and visiting animals on the deck and in the trees. The lobby was wonderful with family games (checkers, dominos, chess), heaters, cocktails/cocoa, dining area with more great views and a friendly vacation feeling. The best was the staff, Kenneth, Marco and the others were amazing. They took great care of all our needs and felt like our own personal concierge for the area. We highly recommend staying here if in the area.

We have never experienced such excellent service in any hotel anywhere in the world. From the warm greeting and help with baggage, to activity planning and wonderful servers at the amazing restaurant, we were blown away! The main building is beautiful, set in a nature reserve with stunning views. Steps away are hiking trails where we saw capuchin monkeys within the first 10 minutes of arrival! Did I mention the restaurant? The best breakfasts that we had in our two weeks in Costa Rica, and fantastic coffee. (They always made our double shot cappuccinos without complaint!) Dinners at Kire were exceptional and I am still thinking about the palm heart salad. We had a Junior suite, which was clean, with comfortable beds, but a little tight for 4 adults (our sons are man-size). If we are lucky enough to come again we will spring for a family suite so that we have some more space. If you had smaller children I imagine the Junior Suite would be fine. It has a large bathroom shower. Lastly, i left a favourite shirt behind and they kindly arranged to send it to a later stop. Much appreciated! Thanks to Marco, Diana, Kenneth, Javier, Cristian, Stephanie, and at least two other wonderful severs whose names I sadly forget. Koora was a 5/5 stay!
