Comfortable stay in Monteverde. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Free breakfast was delicious. Close to town, walkable to restaurants. There is a cute little park with a mini Zipline across the street the kids enjoyed. The hot tub was great. Would have been nice if the pool was heated (it was freezing).

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay here. It was a beautiful property with a nice path through their gardens and some wilderness, that was home to a variety of singing birds. They have a fire pit with marshmallows our kids enjoyed roasting. Service was spectacular and every worked was very friendly. Breakfast was yummy too. It’s just a couple minute walk to a nice grocery store (to fill up the fridge they give you for the room), many restaurants, and a bakery if your heart desires. We would definitely come back.

This was such a great place to stay. So close to the town, and very walkable yet it felt like you were away from everything when at the hotel. Great place for families. Their trails are fun to explore and make sure you check out the frog zoo down the road. Everyone had a great time.

Overall I am a bit disappointed with Expedia on this one. Despite the 4 star rating, this really should have been 3 stars. The heated and covered pool with swim up bar and happy hour specials was nice but there were really no other amenities on the property (ie gym) or room (extra space, dining table, soundproofing) to warrant a 4th star. The food at the restaurant was not good (fish tacos were made with frozen fish sticks). Also the “kids club” was just a small play kitchen for 3-4 year olds and not a true kids club.

This was a really great place to stay especially durning the rainy season. The pool and spa are both covered and there is a cool covered area if you want to hang out in a covered space with your family and play games or do yoga. I love the added touches like the fresh minty water the service upon arrival and the breakfast was so yummy but they could used a vegan option but the made it work. Also the staff is super friendly and helped book all my activities. Great place!

This was an excellent night stay. No air conditioning but just cool in the room. Had the patio door open for most of the night until the fruit started falling out of the trees onto the metal roof. Noisy family at the resort and parents allowed the kids (under 8 years of age) to run, scream and swear loudly FU to them and others around the pool and at breakfast. Not the resorts fault but wish the put couples not close to this noise and disruption. Made our decision to stay only 1 night. Very beautiful place, grounds and staff are outstanding.
