Holiday Inn Express San Jose Costa Rica Airport, an IHG Hotel

Very friendly staff. Clean and very comfortable rooms. Stayed one night waiting for family to arrive next day, then one night at end of our trip. Very close to airport.

Once again a wonderful experience. We stopped at Holiday Inn San Jose CR on our way home for our children and to Panama for my husband and me.

The property was perfect for our needs, as we traveled as a family and had an early morning flight the morning after our check-in. We appreciated the kindness of the staff and the prompt shuttle to the airport. Our only disappointment was the lack of a restaurant on the premises. After a long day of travel to reach San Jose, our children were hungry and we were eager to have an early dinner. Unfortunately, we found out there was no restaurant or bar service at the hotel and we had to walk to one of the restaurants nearby (thankfully, they were close because it was pouring rain) to order food to bring back to the hotel. There were no places inside appropriate for us to eat, so we ate outside by the pool. Thank goodness the seating area was covered, as we were already soaked from walking to the restaurant in the rain! However, all that aside, it is a very nice hotel and beautiful property and the rooms were comfortable.

People were EXTRAORDINARY, they accomodated all of my family needs

I just Have to share our experience with our 4 & 2 year old, while we ate breakfast much was way better than expected which included not only cereal and fruit but also eggs waffles pastries and so much more, but they made balloon animals for the kids! Definitely a highlight of our trip. Great place after arriving late in CR.

I needed to stay a night while waiting for the rest of my family to arrive in Costa Rica and this hotel was super convenient. The shuttle was great, although a little unpredictable. This was due mainly to traffic and construction at the airport, so not really their fault. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect for what I needed. They also offer a complimentary breakfast in the morning and it is excellent. Not just a few containers of yogurt, and coffee, but eggs, waffles, cereal, pastries fruit, bacon. It was really great. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you need to be near the airport coming into Costa Rica or leaving early in the morning. A great, convenient spot.

I called ahead to make sure they knew we were going to be checking in late. The person I spoke with assured us there would be a room available. We got there with our two young children late at night and there were no rooms available. We waited almost an hour until a driver took us and a few other people to a different hotel which when I looked was 1/2 the price of the hotel we booked. The whole process took close to 2hrs and at that time it was 1am. I’m grateful we had a place to sleep, but it was a long process which put us further away from the airport for our flight the next morning.

We needed place to catch an early flight out. It was fine. It has a pool for the kids. No complaints

The service staff was amazing. They helped our children try the native fruits available at breakfast.

Conveniently located less than 2min from airport and rental car depots within an 1 min walk. 24hr shuttle to and from Airport is provided. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and hotel very family friendly. Free breakfast was basic but sufficient. Outdoor pool area clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this hotel and would stay again.
