Beautiful small boutique hotel. Friendly staff service consistently. No elevator and even with a baby and a stroller it wasn’t too bad. The area around old Montreal is amazing and feels like Europe only at night it can be quite noisy with the bar crowd and cars revving engines in the street (though this is not the hotels fault). Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at Hotel Epik Montreal was very enjoyable. It's perfectly situated, on the main strip in Old Port, within walking distance to dozens of quality restaurants, the waterfront with its amenities and is located about 10 minutes away from the subway.
The queen room was on the small side, but comfortable enough, with a large bathroom and was clean. We were located on the second floor, opposite the main street and didn't hear any street noise. Unfortunately, there was an inconsiderate family that occupied the 3-story penthouse, with hyperactive kids who would noisily run back-and-forth starting at 6am, continuing throughout the day. This is more of an issue with the poor character, than with the hotel. Staff responded to our concerns promptly and resolved the issue. Also, despite the door being very thick, we could hear hallway noise pretty clearly, but it was never enough to be a disturbance.
The daily breakfast was a complete meal - cheese, fruit, OJ, coffee, mini muffins and a rotating main element (crepe, bagel, croissant, etc.). There is filtered water, flat or sparkling, that is always available and the staff will fill the bottles when asked.
The only other issue is the parking ($32 hst). If you want to go in/out, you have to leave your keys and the lot is overutilized by the owner (not hotel), with cars crammed in everywhere. There was damage to my car, but the hotel provided some compensation.
All the staff were phenomenal.
We would definitely return.

Trendy hotel with active after hours bar/restaurant, no noise issues. Great location for old town everything close. 1/2 hour walk to Jazz festival/ 5 minutes to Notre Dame. Food was excellent. Staff laid out a nice breakfast complimentary with room.
Had issue with small ants in room. Staff had it taken care of by next day/old hotel. No issues with ants noted after that.
My family would stay here again, it was our favorite hotel on our recent trip to Quebec/Montreal/Toronto and Ottawa so we stayed in allot.

My husband and 2 children spent 1 night at Hotel Epik, and it was phenomenal from the moment we drove up. They've managed to retain the beautiful historic integrity of the building, yet blend it with upscale amenities. It was the most comfortable bed we've ever stayed in, and the backlit waterfall shower had my kids begging to shower repeatedly. The hosts were funny, helpful, and magnanimous, yet non-intrusive for a small hotel. We wished we were staying more than one night in this luxurious quaint hotel. Magnifique!
