Hampton Inn by Hilton Montreal Downtown

I suspect that this hotel is not adquately staffed to handle the amount of people staying there. The pool and hot tubs were FULL of people and unfortunately the water was cloudy and oily from people’s lotions and whatnot. Breakfast was so full of people and they were running out of essential items (i.e. the first day we were there, they ran out of butter, cream cheese. There was nothing to put on toast). Our room was stocked with one bath towel. We are a family if 4. To their credit, staff were all warm and welcoming, even when things seemed stressful. Our room was clean. And the location was great for us to do touristy stuff.

T The room very not very clean and were feeling of old, rugs very dusty, small pool o ln the 6th floor which was still very beautiful coz of view and few jacuzzi tabs seperating the pool atea from the "Adult area" (jacuzzi). Gym was on the same floor. There was no shade or some cover thus whne it cold, windy rainy its a problem to get into the pool especially when u have kids. We havent managed to try the breakfast as we preferred to slip a bit longer thus didnt make it, Mon - Friday till 930am and Sat Sun till 1030am i think. The stuff were pleasant and friendly and helpful. Overall nice stay the location is very good, too bad there were construction again and had to drive in circle as it is mostly one way to get back to the hotel, parking was 28 instead of 35 as hotel guests however still quite expensive, but it is in and out which is very helpful as you can take the car drive and come back in the (include in the 28 ticket ). Tiramisu restaurant that is attached access from lobby is veey unique and flavored 👌 we love it, took pizza and French Toast and omelet for my daughter, was delightful taste wise and beutiful presentation.

My family stayed at the Hampton Inn for four nights and the location was awesome. We were able to park and walk to the old port, downtown, and to Chinatown. Parking was not included, but with the blue parking pass from the hotel, we were able to pay for one day, but can come and go as we pleased without paying extra. The breakfast every morning was good, but the best part about the hotel for my family was the shower! The water pressure was amazing and they had a removable shower head which was so helpful. Check-in took longer as I needed to wait for someone to check to make sure my room was ready, but check-out was a breeze. We would definitely come back and stay here if we ever visit Montréal again.

I highly recommend this location to anyone planning a visit to the area. All the tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel, and the abundance of food choices in Chinatown, where the hotel is centrally located, adds to the convenience. What sets this hotel apart, however, is the phenomenal complimentary breakfast they provide. It's a rare experience for our entire family to wake up every morning during our stay and gather together to enjoy the breakfast before 9 am. This ritual speaks volumes about the superb quality of the food.

Overall, very happy with my stay and the staff. The one issue with facilities was the breakfast situation. The staff work hard but can't keep up with the # of ppl. Requires additional seating, more replenishment of food and utensils. Maybe create a booking system and restrict # of ppl to 30, 45 mins or 1 hr sitting based on the # of ppl per family to better serve guest. Also maybe putting in pergolas over the hot tubs will allow more ppl to use them in the rain.

Excellent stay. We were upgraded for free because we had our child with us. We will be booking here again in the future.

Beautiful rooms and spacious bathroom. My kids enjoyed this place as well as my spouse. We would definitely stay here again. 😊

My stay here was not the best. I found a Percocet under the tv stand mind you I’m traveling with my 1 and 2 year olds who put everything in their mouths. When I brought it to the front desks attention they didn’t seem to care just asked if I wanted house keeping to clean my room. Why would I want house keeping to clean my room after I slept in it for one night shouldn’t it have been cleaned before I arrived ? If one of my children put that pill in their mouths they would of probably died I told the front desk this they just noted their heads. Never been to a hotel where there’s drugs in the room. Carpet was extremely dirty in the room my husband dropped his white t shirt on the floor when I picked it up it was full of hair and dust. Book somewhere else save yourself the disappointment. Extremely uncaring and unprofessional staff. Would not stay here again.

Nice hotel and good location, but would not recommend for families. I stayed with my wife and two kids and wasn’t aware when I booked that the hotel has a very popular roof bar, which meant that in the evenings it was pretty noisy and the elevators were used for customers of the bar, so, when trying to use the elevators, we were greeted by groups of drunken people leaving the bar and making inappropriate remarks in front of our kids. The pool is small and was not very clean. The breakfast buffet was also total chaos with massive queues and nowhere to sit.

Almost was everything was perfect, the location and amenities are no joke. The room is very spacious and perfectly clean. The gym is very cool and has an awesome view, that would be even better when the construction diagonally to the hotel. The only thing to improve is the breakfast, it's a mess, especially when children take full plates of potatoes and then the rest of the line can't have any, and when people don't bring back their plates after they ate. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I was in Montreal.
