Holiday Inn Express & Suites Huntsville, an IHG Hotel

This was not the March break get away we were hoping for. First the positive, the staff all seemed very friendly. Unfortunately the hotel room was tired and felt dirty. House keeping never came and we had to get towels and toilet paper from the front desk ourselves. The fire alarm system was also being tested while we were visiting, we were informed when we checked in, we were told someone would need to enter the room between 9-5. I explained that we only had a 2 night trip and if at all possible please not 9am. We were never told that they would just surprise us by setting the system off for the whole floor/rooms at 9am without warning (talk about a wake up call!). My kids were scared that there was a real emergency and I was forced to get them up out of bed to find out it was real or not. We ended up just checking out early. Should have just stayed home and saved the $350.

Overall, our family had a great stay. Nothing fancy but was clean and comfortable. Staff were courteous. The fridge needed an upgrade - old and not functioning well. Pool and workout room were both great. Beautiful view from room.

Great hotel, indoor pool for kids and workout area for adults. Breakfast is amazong. Nice hot full meal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotels is located across from some reataurants amd shopping centre. Downtown is less than 5 minute drive.

A good place to stay if you're travelling up north, it's pretty decent and quiet most of the time, except when you have hockey kids running around like the last time I stayed there...

Great for families with pets. Huge rooms.

Hotel is a hot spot for hockey families. Kids were running up and down the halls all day, evening until midnight, and early morning. Banging on doors and giggling door handles. Hotel is under Renovation so it’s a huge mess. No hot water for the morning shower. I couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. We didn’t even consider the hot breakfast which is included.

Great for families and good value for money!
