Telegraph House

Stayed here for 2 nights with a 2 year old toddler. The room was very clean - better than what a star hotel can provide. The property is located right at the center of Baddeck, with lots of dining options within walkable distance.

Super cool original hotel and telegraph house. Still owed and run by the original family. Clean. Comfy. We stayed in the original hotel part. Beautiful.

The owner / manager was very nice Shaun, he gave us so many suggestions for places to eat. We were upgraded too as we had kids travelling with us to a bigger room :-) . We will come again . Thank you

Excellent location for those folks looking to take the ferry the following day. Excellent location, clean, quaint, and close to many walkable dining options and the water. A nice surprise considering we booked last-minute and didn't know what to expect. The restaurant seems amazing but we did not try it only because we were with our kids and it appears to be a more up-scale experience - especially because of the farm-to-table emphasis. My family recommends this location for sure.

The good - We got a room with 3 beds which were enough to accommodate a family of 5. The gentleman at the check-in was friendly and provided some great tips for our drive around Cabot Trail the next day. The not-so-good - The room did not have air conditioning so it got a bit warm at night. There is a serious safety hazard in the room with a ceiling fan installed low on the ceiling ... a stretch could hurt someone when the fan will be operating. The grass outside the window is not well kept ... they need better lawn upkeep. Finally, the shower curtain was much longer than required and was laying on the bottom of the tub, hence making a simple shower to be a bad experience.
