Comfort Inn

The rooms didnt have a phone in them so i couldnt contact my family in another room and also to contact the front desk we had to go down, the stairs are located in an inconvenient spot for the rooms upstairs, the breakfast area was a joke with only 2 tables you couldnt get coffee then get toast or anything else because there was no place to set my coffee down. The lady at the front desk when we checked in has got to be the friendliest front desk staff i have ever come across!

Our room was full of black mould on the walls, the radiator, by the lights. The entire room and building smelled stuffy and musty and it induced breathing issues and an asthma attack in one of my family members.

Our first room smelled musty and fishy; that was a lovely start, but we were moved to another room right away. No fridge in the new room and staying 2 nights with 2 kids I’m glad we had brought a cooler. First night another family attempted to come into our room (luckily the night lock was on) with a key card that opened our door. Then the barking from the dog below us started each morning at about 0530h and continued until we got out of bed about 0730. Waking by this room with the dog (136) you can smell the wet dog smell all through that end of the hallway. I don’t mind anyone smoking cannabis, but the couple with the dog sit in a white Honda most of the morning and evening with cannabis smoke pouring out the windows (again we had two small children asking what the smell was). On a good note we got to see 2 fawns with the doe just outside the motel. Long and short we stayed here and it gave us a place to sleep, but we would not stay at this property again.

Room was not ready when we checked in. There was multiple people that were also waiting for their rooms to be cleaned as they didn’t have enough staff scheduled. The light in the bathroom didn’t work properly, the air conditioner was musty and hadn’t been cleaned and the wallpaper was coming away from the walls. The door keys did not work on multiple times and the they shut them off after 1 day even though we had stayed for 2. The girl on days was nice when we arrived but the other staff woman was very rude to me and my family. I understand that we booked into a thrifty hotel chain but cutting costs by letting the facility go to hell and not keeping up with linens will not get customers to come back. If you do stay book on the ground floor or you will be forced to park way away from the building. If I could have left and moved to another hotel I would have but it being summer we were left with no options but to deal with the poor service.

Felt safe to stay there with family. Breakfast had something for average family with kids. Liked availability of iced lemon water.
