Great property; comfortable rooms, luxury feel, tasty restaurant with hip atmosphere! Location is perfect, so much to do around you at the forks. Family friendly- we have 5 kids and it was perfect!

This is my very first negative review. I am a very well seasoned traveller and have stayed at hundreds of properties. I am very accommodating, respectful, and kind and understanding. BUT: Check in was a lengthy and miserable process. The front desk staff were incompetent, rude, unknowledgeable, and slow. They were not able to provide simple directives, nor directions. I had to check in twice, despite me telling them I had already done so. The entire process took over an hour. Then the power went out. The hotel had NO power from 4:15-8:30 pm. I had anticipated hosting my colleagues in my suite that evening, but could not do so as a result. Again, the front desk staff were clueless and VERY unhelpful; not even suggest an alternative. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel that does not have emergency backup generators. There are no in-room dining options. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel, but it too was slow and predominantly packed during regular dinning hours. The shower in the bathroom was abysmal! It was built for a small child. It leaked. The bathtub leaked. The bathroom was a water park with no place to hang a towel. The bar sink faucets leaked. Otherwise, the room and facility were very nice. The problem with this hotel is their staff. And for that reason I would never recommend this property. I can assure you they won't care about that either. And as it turns out: That is their reputation in the area.

Enjoyed our stay here - spent an extended long weekend here to see family. Check-in process was easy, room was spacious, modern, sleek, loved the hi-tech (ie chromecast tv, button on door for do not disturb or request housekeeping), ample desk space and very comfortable seating. Staff were friendly, SMITH restaurant downstairs is lovely. Definitely staying here next time I'm in town.
