Best Western Plus Prince George

Check in staff Geshua was not friendly. Hello w/no smile at your front desk is not very welcoming.She asked for ID & credit card - standard practice at a hotel, which I am aware - but before swiping a customer’s credit card, she should be telling the customer what she is doing. The room was paid for, she could at least communicate that she is just swiping the card for incidentals. She communicated nothing about room cleaning to us, although signage in the elevator said that like we were told at check in, rooms would be cleaned on the second night of your stay but if you needed anything before that to seek assistance. The property itself is nice. Lots of parking is available, the breakfast offers lots of options & a nice dining spot to enjoy it. We wanted to use the pool & slide but the slide being open just at certain times didn’t work with our schedule & we missed out on being able to use it. The room was clean when we arrived but there were only three towels to begin with, we are a family of four. If the room is not to be cleaned until the second night of a stay & there are two beds in the room, there should be four towels to start with. We were in need of those towels, a refill on toilet paper, & in-room coffee by the second night & had been looking forward to coming back to a room cleaned after a long day of shopping. Unfortunately nothing had been done. It is very inconvenient to have to search out everything in the evening. Check out with Geshua was also poor.

It was a great place to stay with young children.

This is a brand new property. We had booked a night with our 4 kids to use the pool and waterslide. There was no obvious place online stating the waterslide was not open yet. Also the pool/ hot tub had just under gone maintenance and the temperature was very cold. The hot tub was not even warm pool temperature. It was cold! We were disappointed. This was supposed to be a special family night out. Staff didnt really offer any compensation because we booked on expedia.

We did a mini staycation with our 2 grandkids. Perfect! Breakfast, pool,comfy bed,clean room and endless coffee. The only negative comment is that the slide wasn't open in the pool but no biggie.

The staff was exceptional. The breakfast was amazing and the staff at breakfast was so helpful. The arranged snacks for our kids and gave us takeout containers for extra breakfast. We had lots of extra towels when we asked. The room was very spacious and comfortable for 3 adults and 2 kids. The only disappointment was the slide at the pool was closed.

I really like this property. The beds are super comfortable nice big rooms. Perfect for families. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast has lots of great food options even for the picky eaters. They have a lot of parking options. If I was to be picky I would say they needed to put in deep tubs as travellers like to relax in their rooms. I know there is a pool with hot tub option however some just don’t want to go down to the main floor. I highly recommend this hotel with what you get compared to price.

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever tried to stay at. Over an hour straight of children yelling, stomping and screaming on my floor as well as the one above. Management has been called twice now. Over $200 a night. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Staff was very friendly and kind. Rooms are spacious and very clean, along with updated. The parking was good. Breakfast was excellent!! Many options to choose from along with many options for tea and coffee, my families favourite was the espresso machine. The pool and hot tub were wonderful but the slide was not working, so that was disappointing. Other than that I would recommend anyone staying there with or without children it was an excellent stay. The price was comparable and competitive with the other hotels in town.

The waterslide is closed which was a bummer for the kids and no restaurant to eat any meal other than breakfast but the breakfast provided was alright. Boiled eggs, a pre-made plate of plain omelet, 3 hashbroqn bites and a sausage patty that you could heat and eat, cereal and juices. Room had a small fridge and microwave so you can bring your own snacks. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
