Holiday Inn Express Golden-Kicking Horse, an IHG Hotel

I had a two night stay with my family. The bathroom sink was backlogging so I mentioned this to front desk next morning. I was told that someone will come and take a look to fix it. I also requested housekeeping to replace the towels. Neither the sink was fix, nor the housekeeping replace the towels, they simply took all the towels away. Book somewhere else if you can.

They have no business charging the price for a room they do. The pool/hot tub was dirty and not comfortable staying in it. Checked in at 530pm and our room was not ready so had to accept another room overlooking the truck stop (trucks left lights on at night) and the other end of hotel from our family. I did expect better from a Holiday Inn

Hotel was fully booked and this comment should impact the hotels rating.Noisy screaming young children left undisciplined in the hall at 6:30 am.Our 8:30 complimentary breakfast spoiled by guests in line ahead of us loading up extra plates of food to fill their travel coolers leaving nothing even though staff did their best to manage the large poor mannered guests.

The staff at front desk is super friendly and handled our checkin fast. The room has mounted body wash and shampoo, customers don’t need to worry about there are not enough for the whole family. Also mounted hand wash is much better option for hand soap!

We spent one night as a way to break up a long drive. The kids loved the pool. Our room was clean and quiet. The staff were able to accommodate a crib for our little one. The breakfast the next day was a bonus. Overall a great stay!

Front desk staff were friendly, room temperature was very hard to control. When the heat was turned on the wall unit blew freezing cold air out of 2 sections and heat out of the center. There was a considerable draft from under the wall until/window, it clearly wasnt insulated as it was fresh cold air from outside. Staff wouldnt stop harrassing the kids about their age in the pool until parents came down - had to be 12 to swim alone and all were 13-15 but staff wouldn't trust the kids answers when asked. Bedding wasnt clean, found hard red mark on pillows. Unfortunately hotel was fully booked so stuck with the poor room conditions.

the seating in the breakfast area was limited, we had to eat in our room. There was a kid's hockey team staying in the hotel both nights. They were left unsupervised in the pool area both nights, throwing chairs into the pool and hot tub, and being extremely loud. We raised concerns with the staff at the time and absolutely nothing was done. They apologized, but did nothing to address the situtaion. will not be staying here again.

I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express hotels and usually enjoy my stay. This one started out the same. The check in staff was friendly and efficient . However as the evening progressed my family and I ended up not being able to shower because the hotel ran out of hot water. When I went to inquire about the situation the lady night staff rudely answered that was because the hotel is booked full and I would have to deal with it and just wait Hopefully there will be hot water again after everyone else has finished using it she stated.

Good family place.

Upon arrival and checking in was told the room I had booked and prepaid was not available, then later that night the staff gave another family keys to the room we were given and sleeping in; and we were abruptly woken up by this family trying to get into the room, then after breakfast next morning the keys we had for the room didn’t work to get back into the room so had to go down and speak to the front desk again to get the keys reactivated… their staff’s recognition and solution was ‘sorry’ …I asked for some kind of compensation for all the errors and was told I would receive $15 off the $27 new tax charge the hotel was processing on my credit card that Expedia didn’t collect on my prepaid room and that I would have to call Expedia to get the $15 refund… not satisfied with the service of the Holiday Inn Express Golden staff :(
