Unexpected surprise! Loved the spacious balcony and view, rooms were cleaned everyday and staff was very cheerful and helpful. Lovely stay with two young kids.

The great view. Also, the hotel has its back to the highway and faces the water so it is quiet. The beds are super comfortable. Sometimes the room is too warm and the comforter is stifling -- I can sleep under just a sheet. This seems kind of wasteful of energy. I turn the heat down and open the sliding door to cool the room off. The bathroom extractor fans are usually old and noisy, but it's an older building and not super expensive so I don't mind. It's nice that every room has a mini fridge and a microwave so you can camp out and eat in your room if you don't feel like dining out. Also you can have a simple breakfast before an early start. Wifi works great. it is a family friendly hotel which is nice, but sometimes people's kids are very noisy in the hallways. Also the doors slam very loudly. You have to stay up late because it's too noisy to sleep earlier. My favourite place to stay in Campbell River.

After reading other reviews I knew there may be things I need to look past staying here. But travelling with 2 kids and a dog so not exactly looking for fancy fancy. Lobby was great on check in, location is great. Travelling with a dog so we're on the dog floor. This hallway was clean but dated and needs a fresh coat of paint. The room was great, clean, both beds were awesome and the black out curtains kept it dark at night. It was very quiet as well. Perks of this place are the breakfast that's included, not just a continental grab and go muffin. It had coffee, tea, eggs, hash browns, pancakes, sausages, ham, toast, juice and coffee. A huge bonus travelling with 2 kids. The swimming pool needs an update but by all means is great, the kids loved it, clean and not very busy when we went there. But what stood out is the customer service of everyone I talked to, from the front desk staff, restaurant staff, housecleaners and the maintenance fella. All were very helpful and very friendly. Definitely will stay again
