BCMI Inn Hinton

We were a group of 19 on a 3-day family trip. I have stayed at this place before, and it is nice with friendly staff. The appliances are relatively modern and clean, and the price is reasonable. This was the first time I booked their suite with a kitchen. I was a bit surprised to see the minimal supplies in the kitchen – there was just the bare minimum. If you want to cook a full dinner, the kitchen does not have much to offer. However, it is fine for heating pre-cooked food. Also, it is probably by a mine- you might get some strong odor every now and then. It does not generally reach inside the rooms though.

We only stayed one night, my kids loved the water slide. The room was clean and looked recently renovated.

The staff was great however they don’t enforce rules. Very noisy with lots of kids running up and down the hallways at inconsiderate times. Constant construction up until midnight. Just an overall lack of care.

Stayed in Kitchenette room with small kid, it is basically motel side of the hotel so condition was accordingly. Kitchen was too small with just basic utensils, carpet was too old and not so clean. Pool was good in the hotel side of area

Stayed on the first floor of the main building, which was noticeably dated. Bathroom had missing grout and lifting tiles, and the fabric shower curtains made a mess. Pool hours are limited, opening at 9 a.m. and closing at 10 p.m. However, a shoutout to the pool staff who were super nice and ensured the hot tub was ready for us in the morning. The cost of one night's stay felt steep given these issues. The check-in process added to the disappointment. A one-off perhaps, but I had to wait 45 minutes behind a large, unreserved family while the receptionist processed their booking. It took her just 6 minutes to sort me out after that. Given that it was late and we were tired, the lengthy wait was particularly frustrating. It would've been considerate for the desk staff to ask if anyone had pre-booked to expedite check-in. Overall, the stay was far from impressive.

Clean and quiet, good for families with kids. Best breakfast ever ate, was included with the stay. Kitchen and cleaning staff are very professional. Indoor pool with whirlpool was favourite for kids. Wish to have few water bottles in the fridge on first day of stay. People expect that. Otherwise no complaints.

It was a wonderful experience with excellent hospitality. We had a mix of seniors, adults and children with us. Everyone appreciated the ambience, room set up and the prompt services.

Nice pool for the kids. The breakfast was weak with no yogurt or fresh fruit. Waffles are all precooked with no fruit or whipped cream

A convenient and comfortable to stay on short stopovers enroute the national parks and beyond. The kids love the small heated indoor pool and Shute.

Stayed in the old part of hotel. Room was like a one bedroom apartment. Very spacious! Could sleep a family of 5 easily. Clean but outdated. Rug was pretty bad. Staff was great. Would stay again.
