Holiday Inn Express Airport-Calgary, an IHG Hotel

Friendly staff, very clean room, nice pool with a water slide for kids

We've stayed at this hotel in the past and our kids wanted to return. However, our young son got caught on a screw on the waterslide ripping his swimsuit and injuring him. Front desk said they'd fix the issue and have the manager call us, but that never happened.

Great place to stay with kids. Quiet and safe. Room is spacious and clean

The place is amazing! We are a family of 6, and the room we got is comfortably fits in the room. Staff are great, the front desk, the cooks at the breakfast and definitely the housekeeping team. Thumbs up! For a great team work, we definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! Superb!!! Highly recommend. We will surely comeback to this hotel!

I was witness to an emergency situation that thankfully turned out well for the person involved, due to the quick action of staff, especially a wonderful woman named Terry (kitchen staff). She took special care of this person before, during and after EMTs arrived, like she would a family member. After making sure this person would be o.k, Terry went right back to work making sure other guests had everything they needed. I think she deserves a paid day off. This hotel is lucky to have her, well done!

We had the most difficult time of our life in this hotel!!! Had a power outage at 1pm, called the staff that said he is not aware! But the whole building was shut down. Tried to ask for flash light ans we've been ask to go down!!! Like HOW??!!! We're in the 5th floor😅. Unbelievable people. We got 3 kids that's why it's very difficult moment! The night manager was very arrogant! The early morning we tried to complain, guess what!!! They ARE NOT SORRY FOR WHAT HAPPEN!!! They said power outage is not beyond their control! Well it's understandable but what is missing is the APATHY TO GUEST WITH KIDS... saying you need to go down from 5th floor ground to ask for something WAS VERY RUDE! They ending up sayong if apology is what you want, then ok HERES YOUR AORRY AND THANK YOU FOR COMING! Lime what?!!! And guess what 2 receptionist told us that! Very poor service! MANAGEMENT MUST BE RETRAINED!!! Review this people as they bought nightmare to us and the kids! Not coming back ever!!!

We had a great stay. Hotel was clean and updated. Our only complaints would be the parking lot is quite crowded and each spot is quite narrow. And the other complaint was that there were people holding swimming lessons in the pool when we went down to swim. I don't mind that they had lessons but it would be nice to know when the lessons were going to take place to plan when go down to the pool as they need space to do their swim lessons and my kids would have liked more space to swim around.

They don't have shuttle services available even though they said they did, instead they get you a taxi. I couldn't fit into a single taxi that they offered with my family and things so had to pay for an additional taxi. Just them not being upfront about that is the bother, otherwise fine enough.

Staff were amazing all the time. We had a misunderstanding about shuttle to the airport but it was resolved by the hotel staff themselves. Room 218 has a noise problem because it is located, I believe, just by the side of the entrance doors mechanism engine, and the walls could not avoid the annoying noise. Just a hint for future guests and ask how far the room is from a machine room... Awesome swimming pool with waterslide for kids. Just be prepared to be vigilant for small kids using it.
