Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Calgary-Airport

Overall it was nice place to stay. Breakfast area was a little bit crowded i saw some families staying standing up with their dishes. Some furnitures in the room were loose (shampoo bottle, toilet paper holder etc)

The pool was filled with garbage or dirt all over the bottom of the pool. There was chipped paint chunks in the pool, tile chunks from the pool floor as well broken., and floating garbage throughout the water. I don’t think it gets cleaned at all. The food was minimal but hot. Someone on a previous review said there was more options for food but there was not. The staff were very accommodating, especially the kitchen lady. Overall, the staff were very nice, other than the food being dry and minimal, and the pool look like it was just floating water that had never been cleaned in months, due to the chunks of fist size pieces of paint, and all the dirt all over the floor in the water. It wasn’t too bad. The problem is we go there with our children to play in the pool, as well for the breakfast, but they both sucked. We will probably not go back to this hotel. But again, I do want to say that the staff were very accommodating..

Besides the convenient location, this hotel is really dirty. We found fresh dried urine on the toilet under the seat. When we asked for a room change, there were no remaining rooms. Airlines book guests at this location when flights are cancelled and the hotel was very clearly full that night. At 12:30am, the only staff member at the hotel was the reception desk agent. He offered to come up to clean the room himself! But….that would only be after he checks in all the other guests waiting in line (8-10 families). We needed to sleep and were really grossed out by then.

The front desk staff was courteous. Our stay was negatively impacted by people who were staying in the room next to ours and were so loud (dancing, playing music, talking loudly until 230am) we could not sleep, despite multiple calls to the front desk explaining the situation. It was not feasible for us to change rooms given we had gotten our kids settled in and we had an early flight.

My family enjoyed our stay and will consider coming back again. The only thing that disappoint was that there was no hot tub. But all in all everything was excellent. Breakfast was also good.

Overall the stay was great. We do need to comment that the bathroom fan was EXTREMELY loud in our room. It was like starting up a tractor on the farm that loud. I'm not kidding. My son did comment on the Wifi being weak but he was trying to play a game, however, checking your phone or messages or emailing was fine.

I always book a hotel with a pool so the kids can let off steam. The pool was not heated at all and area was dirty. We had to phone for towels. Breakfast area was small and definitely did not accommodate for a hotel that was fully booked.
